In 1985, ten years after Ferrari launched the 308 GTB at the Paris Show, the company gave the model a performance boost in the guise of the 328 GTB and 328 GTS. Ferrari's new 328 continued and refined the company's mid-engine, V-8 sports car concept established by the Pininfarina-designed 308 lines in the 1970s. Featuring bodylines clearly descended from its sexy predecessors, the 328 was offered in Berlinetta (GTB) and Targa (GTS) forms. Aerodynamic enhancements included neatly integrated bumpers, a new frontal treatment with a wide grille, and a discreet rear spoiler. Lowered aerodynamic drag and improved downforce at speed were dual benefits of the revised 328 body design. The car retained the distinctive side ducts and covered headlights that helped make the 308 a true 1980s icon. The 328's V-8 now displaced 3.2 liters and was good for 270 hp, which was a 12% bump over the 308 QV. Top speed was upped to approximately 163 mph, and the price for a new GTB in 1988 was $71,900.

Featured here is an excellent example of this 80's automotive icon. These cars can be great fun to own and drive and this car has been well kept and maintained with only 66,000 miles on the odometer. This two door Spider features the removable Targa style top, and the paint was restored and professionally applied in the correct Nero Metallic paint. Inside the black interior has been well cared for and presents very well. The cabin features the following amenities, power windows and locks, original factory floor mats, and bucket seats. Gear selection is handled by the iconic Ferrari gated 5 speed shifter. An original owner's manual with original leather attaché case is included in addition to original factory keys. The stereo has been upgraded with a Sony AM/FM/CD player with remote control multi disc player and Nakamichi dual amplifiers. Further accoutrements include an Escort K40 radar detector and UNGO Techne auto alarm and anti-theft device that have been installed in a stealthy fashion.

The 3.2 litre 270hp Fuel injected V8 has been well maintained and recently received a scheduled service including a new timing belt and drive belts, water pump, thermostat and cooling hoses as well as a new clutch and battery. The fuel injection was also serviced along with a fresh tune-up. This car rides on the original wheels with fresh Hankook Ventus V12 tires and the brakes have been serviced. This Italian sports car is ready to go. The 328 has been described as one of the most usable classic Ferraris because of its durable road record, history of appreciating value, and classical aesthetics.
