“Porsche's new turbocharged Carreras literally raise the bar.” – Motor Trend 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera Review, November 2015

Just a few excerpts from Motor Trend's review demonstrate how enthralled the magazine was with this car:

“The new 2017 Porsche Carrera and Carrera S now sport twin turbochargers, increasing torque and efficiency but -- crucially -- not fundamentally altering the 911 experience purists have loved for half a century.”

On acceleration: “The fastest Carrera S -- PDK, Sport Chrono -- sprints to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and tops out at 190 mph. All acceleration figures are two-tenths quicker than that of their outgoing predecessors and, as noted, in all likelihood the new Carreras are actually quicker still.”

On engine sound: “As previously noted, you can hear the twin turbos whistling behind you while they work, but - happily -- they don't significantly mute that famous 911 rev roar. Indeed, the new turbo engines almost sound naturally aspirated; there's little to none of that pressure-whoosh you'll hear in the Turbo. And there's a fabulous crack and crackle from the exhaust whenever you lift off the gas. That fundamental Carrera character remains intact.”

And not least, on performance: “What you notice right away, though, is the newfound abundance of low-end grunt. Unlike the previous naturally aspirated engines, which only reached maximum torque at 5,600 rpm, the new turbo units serve up all available pound-feet from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. This is a massive benefit: The car shotguns out of corners, and while it's delighted to scream all day near its redline, sizzling revs aren't necessary to keep up a blistering pace. American drivers in particular (known for our love of quick stoplight getaways) are going to eat up the 911's newfound bounty of twisting force.”

Owing to its low mileage, light responsible-adult use, and consistent dealer-performed maintenance (as recorded in the Carfax history), this 911 4S is in virtually perfect condition throughout. The exterior is free of scuffs or other damage. The highly desirable Graphite Blue Metallic paint is in virtually showroom-new condition. Satin-black, 20-inch, 10-spoke wheels (which showcase the red, Porsche-branded brake calipers and massive drilled brake rotors), tinted cabin glass, black body trim, and all lighting lenses show beautifully. The black PORSCHE lettering on the rear deck was a satisfying option on the build sheet; the Porsche hood crest is perfect.

The showroom-new description applies as well to all the car's interior surfaces. Finding any evidence of wear or any indication of use is virtually impossible. Leather upholstery, cabin carpeting (with Porsche-logo-embroidered protective carpet mats), sport-steering-wheel controls, instrument markings and lenses (including on the dash-top-mounted chronometer-lap-timer), and the shifter for the highly regarded PDK double-clutch automatic transmission are all as-new. Entertainment and navigation digital interface, HVAC controls, and console surfaces are likewise free of wear; everything in the car functions as it should. The car's front trunk is spotless.

The rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter, horizontal 6 cylinder engine—delivering power to all four wheels—is as clean as the rest of the car. Viewed from below, the chassis protective panels, installed at the Zuffenhausen factory, remain in place. They exhibit no indication of track use or overly aggressive driving; no scrapes or other scuff marks.

While the more than 150 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this 911 Carrera 4S in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.

“Expect long lines at Porsche dealerships; the new turbo 911s are that good, that true to the tradition,” was how Motor Trend put it at the end of their review. In fact, in 2017, the wait for a 911 Carrera 4 S equipped in this true driver's-car spec—from sport suspension, to sport seats, to sport lighting, to sport mirrors and body trim—and in this color combination would've involved waiting many months for delivery. But you're in luck. There's absolutely no waiting right now.
