This sport coupe with very simple styling, much like the first generation GTO's of the Mid-'60's, offered a powerful V8 under the hood. GM CEO at the time, Bob Lutz drove the early Holden Monaro when visiting Australia with a few other GM Executives and took notice of the front engine, rear wheel drive layout and two door sports car styling. A man like Bob Lutz taking notice of the performance capabilities of the car, and deciding it was worth a look into what it would cost to sell that platform in the US says a lot about the car!

The GTO we offer for your consideration is a one owner car, that was always well taken care of, and always garage kept. This sports coupe is finished in Phantom Black Metallic over black leather interior. A stealthy combination for this extremely clean car. Exterior highlights include; optional 18” Aluminum 5-spoke wheels, rear spoiler, hood scoops, and dual exhaust.

Comfortable and supportive sport seats with 'GTO' stitching remind you each time that you get in the car that you are about to take a ride in a special car. Red stitching on the steering wheel, shift knob, and hand brake handle along with red-faced gauges add a splash of color to the otherwise all black interior. The interior features some pretty standard things for the time it was built - 6 disc CD changer, tile and telescoping steering wheel, A/C, power windows and locks, 10 speaker audio system, cupholders, and a 'driver information' system.

Under the hood is a 6.0L LS2 V8 mated to a 6-speed transmission. The only upgrade to the drivetrain is a JHP shifter imported from Australia to give shorter and crisper shifts.
