1965 Ford Mustang 289 Coupe - Factory 3-Speed with AC

A classic American sports car from an era when automobiles with style and flair were commonplace, rather than the large people haulers on the road today.  We are pleased to offer this first generation Mustang, a vehicle that has become an icon known the world over.

Garage Kept Motors is pleased to present this beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang 289 Coupe for consideration. Our client has owned this vehicle for the past 20 years. It looks just the same now as it did rolling off Ford's San Jose, California production line in March of '65.  Rangoon Red over Black vinyl buckets and a 289 V8 under the hood.

Slide behind the deep dish three spoke Mustang steering wheel and you'll find a nice interior that looks great from the chrome accents, door panels, black vinyl seats, to the dash pad. Of note is the optional Ford Air Conditioning Royal Climatic Air unit, which is a rare find. The iconic “C” code Ford 289ci V8 with a 200 horsepower rating puts a 'pep in the step' of this great American sports car.  A 3-speed manual Transmission has been upgraded with a Hurst shifter for better feel when selecting gears.

On the road, this car is a pleasure to drive. And even sitting, it makes bystanders smile. A great example with an equally great sound and driving experience.
