What you are looking at is a rust-free 1990 Dodge Ramcharger LE with a Chrysler 408 Stroker under the big black hood. This classic truck was originally from Washington, spent a few years in Texas, and was brought to the Midwest in 2017. This Ramcharger has never seen snow or salt, minus the brief photo session we just took here in Michigan. The truck is tastefully modified on the outside which includes the custom Dodge Air Grabber hood, 4” lift w/stabilizer, and a Heavy Duty Off Road Bumper with LED Trail Lights and Winch. The engine was purchased from Carolina Machine Engines which is a Chrysler 408 Stroker Engine with FAST fuel injection, and MSD ignition system. The interior remains in original condition with the addition of built in Pillar Gauges for Trans Temp etc. A heavy duty Trans Oil Cooler is installed with an Aluminum Radiator. B/F Goodrich All Terrain Tires. This Ramcharger can be daily driven and drives down the highway like a Cadillac. Everything works, including the cruise control; heater blows hot and AC blows cold. There is over $25k worth of receipts (see photos) that go with this Ramcharger. Over $40,000 total invested. No expense spared, no corners cut.
Here are the specs and numbers: Brutal Off-Road Suspension receipts totaling just over $14k, FAST Fuel Throttle Body and Distributor, FAST Self Tuning EZ Fuel Injection System for $2,300, Hooker Competition Ceramic Headers, Edelbrock Intake Manifold, MSD Ignition, Flowmaster Mufflers, Chrysler 408 Stroker by Carolina Machine Engine with Roller Rockers and Roller Cam for $10,900. Carolina Machine Engine includes Pro Comp high flow Aluminum Heads, Stainless Steel Valves, Keith Black Hypereutic Pistons, 4340 Forged Steel Rods, Scat 9000 cast steel 4” Stroker Crankshaft, Premium Main & Rod Bearings. Also included are performance valve springs, Stainless Steel rocker arms, pushrods, hydraulic lifters, true roller timing set and a camshaft with around .530” lift and 268 degrees duration. The oil pump, oil pan, screen, timing cover, balancer, valve covers, intake, oil filter, oil filter adapter, dipstick, and spark plugs are furnished and installed. It has been expertly machined, balanced, blueprinted, plate honed, line honed, and decked. It has been assembled by a highly capable technician and spin tested to check oil pressure, compression and oil circulation. It was then dynamometer tested with the recommended accessories. The Carolina Machine Engine Dyno is provided, stating 408 horsepower. It has approximately 9.7:1 compression and have a “LOPEY” noticeable idle and good manifold vacuum.
