Here is one cool Camaro. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a true Z11 code Indy Pace Car Convertible edition. This example is finished in factory Dover White (code 50) with a matching convertible top over a classy Orange Houndstooth (code 720) interior. Our client acquired the vehicle five years ago as a roller in need of a drivetrain and interior. He contracted ACR Performance of Fruitport, Michigan to finish and fit the motor, transmission, running gear, and interior. ACR dropped in a period correct NOM 396ci V8 built up to deliver 400-plus horsepower. Transmission is a Turbo 400 3-Speed Automatic with a 2800 stall. They also added new suspension, Hedman hedders, electronic ignition, new speedometer, 1500CFM cooling fan, and a Posi 3.23:1 rear end. It has 4k miles on the motor since the build was finished.

True Z11 Indy Pace Cars are hard to come by. Mint examples are reaching $100k plus at auctions with numbers matching motors. But those are trailer queens. You could haul this car around from show to show but here at GKM, we prefer classics you can drive. This Pace Car will certainly take home some trophies and at the price we are asking, you can actually drive it to the show. It is an awesome vehicle that has been restored with care and attention to detail.
