One of 641, Tastefully Modified

Stinger Yellow
Dark Slate Gray
6.4L V8 HEMI
6 Speed Manual

In 1969, Dodge built their most highly optioned Challenger to date as a show car, and called it the Yellow Jacket. More importantly, it was the first HEMI E-Body ever built. The E-Body carried on but the Yellow Jacket was just made that one year. In similar fashion, Dodge rereleased a one-year Yellow Jacket model in 2012, a special trim package added to the power-packed Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI. Only 1,310 Yellow Jackets were made and of those, only 641 were built with 6-Speed Manual transmissions.

Our client purchased this car new from Ed Koehn Dodge of Greenville, Michigan. He has always stored it indoors at our heated facility and has tastefully modified it (see below). It is a one owner car, smoke and accident free, has just 8,763 miles, and is still under factory powertrain until July 2018. The car is finished in factory Stinger Yellow Clear Coat over a Dark Slate Gray interior. It is powered by a 6.4L V8 with stock horsepower rated at 470, but the upgrades push it north of 500. Power is transferred through a 6-Speed Manual transmission with rear-wheel drive. Noteworthy standard equipment includes Hill Assist Start, 4-Wheel Brembo Performance Disc Brakes, All-Speed Traction Control, Push Button Start, 6.5-inch Touch Screen Display, Heated Front Seats, UConnect Voice Command with Bluetooth, Heated Steering Wheel, Power Everything, and a 180-MPH Primary Speedometer (hence the license plate). The optional upgrades include 20-inch Aluminum wheels, Yellow Jacket Appearance Group, MOPAR Interior Appearance Group, Harmon Kardon Audio Group, and a Power Sunroof.

Sometimes aftermarket add-ons are done poorly. That is not the case with this car. All the extras our client added are refined, professional, and separate this Yellow Jackets curb appeal and driving experience from the rest. He added a mean sounding Borla ATAK Catback exhaust (listen to the video), KW Lowering Kit for an aggressive stance, Carbon Fiber spoiler, larger Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, Carbon Ceramic window tint, Oil catch can, Billet Aluminum engine accessories, Arrington cold air intake, Barton short-throw speed shifter, Carbon Fiber interior trim, Custom Challenger color-matching floor mats, Bulldog shift knob, and custom painted Yellow Jacket intake cover. All receipts and service records accompany the car, including the original window sticker, books, manuals, two sets of keys, Yellow Jacket banner, Yellow Jacket gas can, and even a Yellow Jacket watch. Original parts also go with the sale.

The car has not been beat on. It has been meticulously cared for and we are hoping it finds similar treatment in its new garage. If interested, be sure to check out over 100 photos and especially the video of the car running on our website. The exhaust notes are mesmerizing. Call or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
