Featured here is an excellent example of the quintessential muscle car, the Pontiac GTO. This 1969 Pontiac GTO is an authentic “242” GTO, and has been treated to a cosmetic restoration. Painted in the factory hue of Vedoro Green, the finish has a few minor blemishes with a scratch on the hood but otherwise presents with a brilliant shine as does the related stainless trim and rear bumper chrome. A Judge-style rear spoiler has been added to the rear deck and the sporty look of this classic muscle car is finished off with a set of factory Rally II wheels featuring the red PMD center caps and chrome trim rings.

Inside the black vinyl interior appears to be all original with the exception of new carpeting that has been installed. The seat upholstery shows only some light wear with no tears or seam pulls. The dash is in good shape showing some slight sun damage and warping in the gauge pods. This car was originally equipped with air conditioning that is currently inoperable and the radio is missing but the opening is clean and unmolested.

Under the hood has been lightly detailed and shows nicely. The heart of this boulevard warrior is a Pontiac 400 V8 topped with a set of #62 large valve heads. The factory Quadrajet has been replaced by an Edelbrock 4bbl with an electric choke and a set of underdrive aluminum billet pulleys were installed to help free up some additional horsepower. Some additional bling comes from a set of factory chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid, and a polished Powermaster alternator.

Underneath the chassis is unrestored but has been well-kept. The frame and floorboards are clean showing only some surface rust and the trunk floor has been replaced. Options include power steering and power brakes with front discs and rear drums. Power from the high torque V8 is transferred through a 3-speed GM Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission to a 10-bolt rear differential with the power meeting the road through a set of fresh BF Goodrich T/A radial tires. The engine rumbles nicely through a set of dual exhaust with turbo-style mufflers and chrome tailpipe tips.

This is a great-looking vehicle that is sure to draw plenty of attention whether it is cruising down the boulevard or into your favorite car show. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
