We are very excited to feature this 1965 Plymouth Satellite here at Garage Kept Motors. This superb classic Mopar is a real head turner looking like it was plucked straight from Woodward Avenue during the heyday of Detroit Street racing.

The bright red paint is well applied over well-executed bodywork. The finish has been well-maintained and polished to a rich luster. The front and rear bumpers appear to be original unrestored units showing some light patina and a few light dings however still present with a deep shine. All the factory stainless is present and has been well maintained and polished to a brilliant glow. The blacked-out steel wheels add a serious no-frills vintage street racer vibe to this mean Mopar, with 15 X7 wheels up front wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A P235/60R15 with 15 X 8 wheels out back wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A P275/60R15 rubber. This combination gives the car a subtle but menacing stance.

Inside the black interior has been restored with all-new vinyl seat covers correctly embossed with the Satellite Emblem. The front and rear side panels have been replaced with new units and new carpet has been installed. A Grant 3-spoke aluminum wheel with wood rim, Sun Super Tach, and a set of Summit Racing mechanical gauges give the interior a vintage high-performance look. The original AM radio is still in place and the dash trim could use some cosmetic restoration yet still exhibits well. The trunk is solid with no signs of rust through and features a new vinyl floor covering and some of the original bumper jack tools.

Under the hood sits a 440 V8 that was completely rebuilt in 2015 by A&J Automotive who bored and stroked the block to 505 CID. This big block has been topped with a set of Edelbrock Aluminum heads filled with competition Ferrea valves and Lunati racing valve springs. A Lunati camshaft and lifters operate the valve train. A dual-feed high-performance 4bbl carburetor sits atop an aluminum Edelbrock Torker II and a set of custom Schumacher nickel-plated headers expel the spent gases. Power transfers through a Chrysler A833 4-speed outfitted with a Ram flywheel and performance clutch and pressure plate. Final drive duties are handled by a Chrysler 3.23:1 Sure Grip rear differential.

The floors and frame rails are all rust-free and have been lightly undercoated. The suspension has been upgraded with Mancini Racing springs and shackles in the rear and a Mancini Racing steel strut set and racing torsion bar set. The steering linkage has all been replaced along with new shocks front and rear and new suspension bushings. The brakes have been completely gone through and upgraded to power assist with front disc brakes. The brake lines, and rear brake cylinders in the rear drums have all been replaced. The engine rumbles nicely through a dual exhaust system with H-pipe and performance mufflers. With tailpipes that exit through the rear underneath the bumper.

This car comes well-documented including the original broadcast sheet and owner's manual. Receipts for all the high-performance upgrades and restoration are included detailing all the work completed. This car is a really fun car to drive with its high-powered big Block V8 and 4-speed manual transmission and will have you smiling ear to as you run it down the boulevard.
