1972 Plymouth 'Cuda
Sold
VEHICLES SHOWN BY APPOINTMENT ONLYSame owner since 1981
Offered here is an awesome 1972 Plymouth Cuda owned by the same Michigan man since 1981. He bought the car in high school out of Detroit and after 36 years, he has decided to part with it. During his ownership, the car was always stored indoors and never driven in inclement weather. When he acquired it, the car was black, and from 1982 to 1984, he completely restored the car, finishing it in a more eye-popping Hemi Orange paint with a new black vinyl roof.
The car remains highly original and is powered the original, numbers matching 340ci/240hp V8 4bbl mated to the original 727 Automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. Some upgrades include a solid lift cam, 273-valve train, and Holley intake, carb, and headers. It starts, runs, and drives exceptionally well with that classic Mopar sound. This is a true BS23 Cuda, not the Barracuda, and the 70k miles on the odometer are original. We have the original title from 1982 plus a folder full of receipts and a photo album of the restoration. There are also some original sales brochures and even “fan letters” from passersby at car shows.
This car has been our client's most prized possession and for his sake, we are hoping it finds another good home. Hagerty values the 1972 Cuda at an average price (number 3) of $36,700. At the price offered here, especially with the same owner since 1981, it is an awesome deal. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our website. Call or e-mail if interested, or to make a reasonable offer. Thank you for looking.
