There really is nothing cooler than First Generation Camaros. These Chevrolet pony cars were an immediate hit when these cars were first introduced for the 1967 model year and America's interest in these cars has only grown stronger. Garage Kept Motors is proud to feature this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport for sale.

This car has been repainted to the factory Rallye Green color with the correct for the SS model, white “bumblebee stripe” (RPO D91) that extends across the front header panel and front fender sections. The paint was finished and polished to a deep gloss that shines deeply. The correct SS emblems and vent adorned hood is present along with the factory front and rear spoilers. The front and rear bumper chrome and related stainless trim are well maintained and shine brightly. A set of American Racing Torq Thrust II polished aluminum wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires nicely accent the factory styling of this car.

The black interior upholstery, dash pad and door panels present as original and are in good condition, and free of any rips or tears and the carpet and headliner have both been replaced. An aftermarket wood rim wheel has been installed and features a SS center horn cap. The factory radio has been replaced with a Pioneer Super Tuner III with AM/FM & CD player and plays through 6X9 rear mounted speakers. The manual transmission is shifted with Hurst shifter and engine vitals are monitored with a set AutoMeter gauges. This Camaro features Factory A/C upgraded with a modern rotary compressor and clutch and converted from R12 to 134a.

Under the hood is clean and lightly detailed with a 350 V8 between the frame rails. The motor has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake and a Holley dual feed carburetor and an Accel electronic distributor. A set of era correct Chevrolet aluminum finned valve covers, and a chrome open element air cleaner add a little additional decoration under the hood. The factory drum brakes have been upgraded to power with front disc and rear drums and this car features power steering as well. Accompanying documents support the engine has been well maintained by previous ownership.

Underneath the suspension and chassis are in good shape and feature front and rear stabilizer bars. Recent maintenance includes new stabilizer bar bushings up front, front and rear shocks, and a rear brake service along with front disc brake upgrade. A new gas tank and electric fuel pump have been installed and the engine purrs through a dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The floors on this Camaro have been repaired with a new trunk floor, and driver's side front and rear floor patch pans.

This car is a lot of fun to take out and run through the gears and listen to that mighty small block engine roar through the high-performance exhaust.
