No other vehicle better represents American Freedom then the Jeep! Since its introduction in World War II the Jeep quickly become an icon of the spirit for those who choose to roam and explore. Garage Kept Motors is excited to offer this 1989 Jeep Wrangler Sahara just in time for the summer months. This Jeep has been tastefully upgraded and would make a great cruiser or even a daily driver.

The body was treated to a vibrant iridescent green paint job and polished to a deep luster. This YJ features a silver removable fiberglass top and has been updated with wide fender flares and Nerf-style tube side steps. There is an abundance of chrome trim, including door, hood and windshield hinges, grill and front frame covers, side stainless rock guards, and outside rearview mirrors. The front bumper has been replaced with a heavy duty steel bumper with textured finish and clevis tow anchors. The rear bumper has also been upgraded with a heavy-duty steel bumper with textured black finish, dual clevis tow anchors, receiver hitch and swivel spare tire mount.

Inside the tan interior has been upgraded with new carpet and custom fit Husky Liner floor mats. The seats have been replaced with Best Top front and rear sear seats and center console. The speedometer and tachometer have been upgraded to with AutoMeter Cobalt gauges with factory temperature, oil pressure and voltmeter gauges still in place to monitor engine vitals. A Pioneer Super Tuner with AM/FM/CD and Aux input has been installed in place of the factory sound system.

Under the hood Wrangler has had a Chevrolet 5.3 litre LS V8 transplanted into the engine bay. The engine swap is professional and well executed and the compartment is clean. A custom open element air intake helps this powerplant breath deeply and the hot set up is kept cool with a custom aluminum radiator. Power is transferred through a 4L60 4-speed Automatic transmission.

The underbody is clean has been lightly detailed and the frame is rust free. The body features a 3-inch lift and the chassis features a slight lift with rear shackles and a front shackle flip kit. The differentials have been upgraded with heavy duty ARB differential covers that add some rigidity to the Dana axles. The motor rumbles nicely through a custom dual exhaust with turbo mufflers. Options include power front disc brakes and power steering. This combination rides on a set of 16” Gear Alloy wheels wrapped in a set Goodyear Wrangler LT285/75R16 that nicely fill the wheel wells.
