Featured here is a very solid 1971 Chevrolet K10 Pick-Up. This tough looking truck has had some cosmetic restoration and mechanically is a strong runner. The body was treated to an amateur refinish that has some flaws and is not what one would call a concourse restoration but on this truck, it adds a sense of ruggedness. The body is solid with no signs of any rust through. The chrome bumpers and stainless grille and trim appears to all be original with some light patina but shines with a nice luster. The bed floor has been restored with new wood and features stainless strips.

Inside the cab, the bench seat has been re-upholstered in a black vinyl with black cloth inserts. New carpet lines the floor and the rear compartment behind the seat and a new dash pad and headliner have been installed. The factory gauges are in place and a Sun tachometer has been installed in the dash with an additional set of SunPro gauges are mounted under the dash to monitor the engine vitals. A digital AM/FM radio with AUX output takes the place of the factory radio.

Under the hood is lightly detailed and a 350cid V8 sits between the frame rails. The engine has had some nice upgrades to enhance the performance including an Edelbrock Performer carburetor, aluminum intake, electronic ignition and exhaust headers. An Edelbrock open element air cleaner and a set of vintage Mickey Thompson finned aluminum valve covers add to the performance dress on this combination. The engine compartment presents as well maintained with a new alternator, fuel pump, and coolant hoses. The truck features power steering and brakes and a new master cylinder and power booster have been installed. Underneath the chassis is unrestored but presents as well maintained. The steering has new tie rod ends, new shocks front and rear and a new dual exhaust. Power is transferred through the frame and cab floorboards are solid with no signs of any rust through. Power is transferred through a 350 Turbo-Hydramatic 3 speed automatic, backed by a manual transfer case that routes the power to the front and rear differentials. The front differential features manual locking hubs that need to be engaged before shifting into four-wheel drive. The spring height is stock but the truck ride height is enhanced with a set of steel “wagon wheels” rims and oversized Bronco Radial LT tires with raised white letters.

This is one cool old truck with its rugged looks and subtle modifications. With all the mechanicals in tip top condition this truck is ready to take you on your next adventure. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thank you for looking.
