This GTO was originally burgundy from the factory but recently repainted a grey metallic shade that is well applied and has been buffed to a rich luster. The bumpers have been re-chromed, and the factory stainless trim and chrome is all present and treated to a light restoration and polish and shines nicely. The trunk space is very clean and has been detailed with factory style spatter paint and features a new rear taillight harness.

Inside the black interior has been lightly reconditioned with new carpet, seat upholstery and door panels. The seats upholstery is a subtle redesign over the factory insert pattern and matches the theme of the custom stitched front and rear door panels. A Grant three spoke chrome wheel with wood rim sits on the factory tilt steering wheel. The instrument panel features warning lights and the factory clock, and a factory AM radio sits in the dash. The chrome console frames the four speed shifter and shows some light wear and patina and could benefit from a light restoration and detail.

Under the hood sits an era correct 389cid Pontiac V8, that has been upgraded with an Edelbrock Performer 4bbl carburetor with electric choke. Further upgrades include a heavy duty aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans. Under the hood is nicely detailed and a set of chrome valve cleaners and an open element air cleaner add some performance detailing to this smooth-running motor. Power is transferred through a 4-speed manual transmission back to the stock 10 bolt differential.

Underneath the car has been restored, with the frame and floorboards cleaned and detailed. This car has manual steering and the front steering components all have been replaced, and all four shocks are new as well. The brakes have been upgraded to four-wheel power assisted disc brakes, with all new brake lines and emergency brake cables. A new gas tank has been installed with all new fuel lines as well. The dual exhaust features an H-pipe and the Flowmaster mufflers provide a performance sound out of the tailpipes that exit out back through chrome tips. The combination rolls on a set of factory Rally II wheels that have been repainted with black inserts with hardened chrome lug nuts and 70's era stainless center caps and chrome trim rings. The subtle color change on the wheels provides a nice detail to the grey body paint. The power hits the road via set of Cooper Cobra Radial GT high performance tires.
