Garage Kept Motors is thrilled to featured this very original 1969 Pontiac GTO. This car has had only 2 owners with the current ownership since 1973. If only all classic muscle car could have been cherished and cared for like this one, there certainly would be so many more beautiful examples like this to appreciate!

This car was treated to a two stage repaint in the early 1980s to Palladium Silver and the finish is very well preserved and shines with a deep luster. There are some small rust bubbles in the right rear corner wheel well and a few small spots on both front doors in the lower front corners. There are also a few chips in the Endura bumper that have been touched up, but the finish is free of any cracking. The chrome rear bumper is original and has an aftermarket tow hotch that was installed in the 70's and there are a couple of dents in the bumper, however, the chrome presents with a rich shine as does the rest of the stainless trim on the car. The black vinyl top is original and is starting to dry out a little and has pulled up slightly on the left rear corner but there is no rust present. The optional hide-a-way headlights function well, and the grilles are in great condition. This car truly presents as well in person as it does in these photos.

Inside the cabin the black interior is all original including the door panels, seat upholstery, carpet, and headliner. There is very light wear present on the seats and door panels, and beyond some light color fade the carpet has been well protected by the original Pontiac floor mats. The dash features the factory clock, and the radio was upgraded Sony AM/FM Cassette 45-watt player with dual 6 X 9 speakers in the rear package tray. Under the dashboard is an aftermarket air conditioning unit that was installed by the dealer when new by request of the original owner. The trunk is unrestored and free of any rust. The correct spare tire and related factory bumper jack tools are all present. Included with the sale is a car cover.

Under the hood is equally well preserved as the rest of the vehicle. The original 350hp 400cid V8 still sits between the frame rails and the complete drivetrain is numbers matching. The motor is complete with all the correct steel vacuum lines, spark plug wire looms and related motor pieces typically cast-off during shade tree engine repairs. Power is transferred through a 3 speed 400 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission to the 10 bolt GM differential. The suspension and under carriage show no signs of any rust or accident repair. The suspension has been well maintained and gas shocks have recently been installed upfront and air shocks outback. The steering is power assisted and there are manual drum brakes all around. Included in the sale are a complete set of brake shoes for the front and rear as well as new front wheel bearings and seals. The dual exhaust flows through a set of freshly installed Pypes Xlerator mufflers that have a nice performance tone. This combination rides on the factory 14 X 7 Rally II wheels complete with original black dot lug nuts, PMD center caps and stainless trim rings. These original wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires.

This is a very nice original that has been well cared for and clearly loved by previous ownership. It presents very well and runs amazing.
