Featured here is one sharp 1969 Pontiac Firebird. Painted a dark metallic green, this car is finished in an understated color and has a nice forward rake. A factory “400” hood along with a rear spoiler out back are a few hints that this is a performance car. This coupe features a black vinyl top and dual chrome side mirrors. Front and rear bumpers present nicely and all the stainless steel trim is present.

The black interior has been lightly restored with new carpet and seat upholstery. The dash pad features a stitched look and a later model Firebird leather-wrapped steering wheel caps the steering column. A set of mechanical gauges are mounted under the dash to monitor engine oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage output. A JVC AM/FM/CD player upgrades the factory sound system and plays through a set of JBL 6X9 speakers. The rear trunk is clean and lightly detailed.

Under the hood has been nicely detailed and features a torquey Pontiac 350 V8. The engine is topped with an Edelbrock Performer carburetor and Performer aluminum intake and the air-fuel mixture is fired by a GM HEI ignition. The Spent exhaust flows through a set of steel tube headers. The fan belt setup has been upgraded to a serpentine belt system with aluminum billet pulleys. Chrome Edelbrock valve covers and chrome Edelbrock air cleaner add some more shine under the hood. Power is transmitted through a 400 Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission back to a GM 12 bolt differential.

The braking system consists of power front disc brakes with rear drums, and the steering is power-assisted. Dual exhaust system flows through a set of Flowmaster chambered exhaust that dumps just in front of the differential. A set of frame connectors have been added to tie the front and rear subframes together and improve frame rigidity. The combination rides on 14X6 Factory Rallye II rims up front with a set of 15X7 Rallye II rims out back. Both are outfitted with “PMD” center caps, and stainless trim rings. The wheels are wrapped in white letter tires, with the rear tires having a slightly different specification than the front. (P275/60R15, rear and P215/70R14, front.) The wheel and tire combination give this 'bird an aggressive forward rake.

This is a great-looking Pontiac that has a nice performance stance and rumbles deeply through the custom exhaust.
