Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer for sale this sporty 1960 Chevrolet Parkwood Resto-Mod Station Wagon. The red finish is striking on this wagon and has been prepped and polished to a deep luster. These cars came well adorned in stainless body trim when new and it is all present and well restored and really sets off the space-age design and integrated wing design. The front and rear bumper chromes have been restored and shine brightly.

Inside the interior is lightly restored and has a very nice blend of original design with modern upgrades. The door and kick panels are original and do have some warping and distortion in the cardboard backing. The seats have been recovered with cloth upholstery and new carpet and headliner have been installed. The dash is original with upgraded full digital instrumentation from Dakota Digital Instruments. The gear selector has been upgraded to represent the overdrive transmission. The factory AM radio is still present and an AutoMeter boost gauge has been installed in the ashtray.

Under the hood sits a Magnuson 112 Supercharged GM LS2 6.0L V8 producing 435hp and 415 ft-lbs. of torque. The engine compartment is well-detailed, and a set of plastic coil covers that look like era-correct “W” motor valve covers. Exhaust flows throw a set of tube headers into dual exhaust flowing into stainless performance mufflers with the tailpipes dumping NASCAR style in front of the rear tires. The undercarriage has been upgraded with tubular A-Arms with dropped spindles up front and out back a Ford 9” differential is supported by a custom four-link rear suspension. The differential is stuffed with 3.70:1 gears which nicely complement the 4L65-E overdrive automatic transmission for great low-end pull but the ease of cruising on the highway with low RPMs. The brakes have been upgraded to four-wheel power assisted disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The fuel and brake lines are all new as well. The floorboards and frame are free of rust and any indications of any collision repair. This hopped-up wagon rolls on Ridler Chrome alloy wheels, 18” wheels up front are wrapped in 245/40R18 radial tires with 20” wheels in the rear with 275/40R20 radial tires and giving it a menacing stance.

This Parkwood Station Wagon looks fast just sitting still, but this wagon has the GO to complete the Show in this case. The stunning color will draw attention wherever this car goes be it a local cars and coffee event or cruising the boulevard. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thank you for looking.
