Initially designated as a trim package for the Tempest, the Pontiac LeMans officially became its own model line in 1963. Continuing production until 1981, the LeMans offered five distinct generations and was named after the French city which is more amply known for the world's oldest active endurance race the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although it could be said that John Z. Delorean's tenure over the Pontiac marque ended shortly after the debut of the LeMans, his engineering brilliance remained until closer to 1970. Categorized and unique with a classic Coke-bottle design that emphasized the LeMans' clean, flowing lines and curved contours, it is no wonder why many collectors and enthusiasts retain the Pontiac LeMans on their automotive wish lists.

Presented here is a 1969 Pontiac LeMans convertible. Displayed in a gorgeous subtle blue exterior and sleek black interior, this vehicle possesses the extra luxury touches that the Pontiac line offered. The paint is very smooth, and it is evident that this vehicle has been very well- kept. The refined chrome wheel well openings and rally wheels provide just the right amount of contrast that give this LeMans both a muscular and timeless aesthetic.

This convertible is powered by a 350ci V8 with an automatic transmission. With options like power brakes, power steering, and a power convertible top, this LeMans contains many desired features. This Pontiac is shown with 17k miles but the actual mileage is unknown.

The luxurious black leather interior is very well maintained. The front buckets and rear bench provide ample room for up to 5 passengers. There is slight wear along the bottom carpet portion of both doors as well as moderate plastic cracking on the center console. The woodgrain inserts on both the dash and console have aged nicely and still retain some of their initial gloss. At some point, a previous owner has updated the stereo system with a Custom Autosound but the vehicle does have the original radio mounted in the dash.

It truly is no wonder why many enthusiasts and collectors alike continue to cherish the LeMans as a timeless automobile. This handsome example is ready for its next adventure, and we hope that it can be found on the road for many years to come. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions.
