We all know that the F-Series pickup trucks manufactured by Ford are some of the most popular and best-selling trucks ever made. With a heritage that dates to the 1948 model year, it is no wonder why the Ford F-Series has remained a favorite among truck collectors. Rounding out the last year of the sixth generation, the 1979 Ford F150 included updates like front disc brakes, larger cabin size, renovated bed construction and steel body panels. It was also the last year that the 460 engine was available in a half-ton pickup truck.

Presented here is a 1979 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Painted in a stark white with retro colored graphics this truck is a blast from the past. There are quite a few issues with the exterior including paint chipping on the front end and various scratches along the body. The chrome trim is complete and has aged slightly. Powering this truck is a 351ci V8 that has been paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Although the exact mileage is unknown, this 4x4 is ready to tackle any terrain or adventure.

For the interior, passengers are met with a green color scheme. From the door panels to the dash and bench seat, all original components are present. Like the exterior, the interior also shows quite a bit of wear. Both door panels are cracked, there are tears in the bench seat that are visible under the seat cover, the dash pad is split, and the steering wheel is cracked and missing the horn emblem. The stock gauges seem to have remained untouched and are still quite easy to read.

Although this might not be a concours or the greatest example for Ford's supremely popular F-Series pickup truck, there is still a lot to enjoy about this rig. You might not win any trophies at the local car shows, but no one can deny that this Ford would be a blast to drive. If you are looking for a truck that you can enjoy without feeling guilty of its condition, this F-150 is perfect for you. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
