The Boxster nameplate is a portmanteau of boxer, a reference to its flat or boxer engine and roadster, a reference to its body style. Marketed by German automobile manufacturer Porsche the Boxster is a mid-engine two-seater sports car that was produced across four generations. Initially introduced in 1996, the Boxster series remains in production today. The Boxster was Porsche's first road vehicle to be originally designed as a roadster since the 914.

As being the start of the second generation, the 2005 model year Boxster received overall styling and performance updates. Revised styling included modified headlamps, larger side intake vents, and enlarged wheel arches to allow wheels up to 19 inches in diameter. Interior revisions included a more prominent circular theme for the instrument cluster and cooling vents.

Presented here is a 2005 Porsche Boxster that is displayed in a white over tan color combination. This Boxster is noted as having 45k miles and upon quick glance is in excellent condition. The bright white paint has been well kept and includes chip guards on the side mirrors and on the quarter panels behind the doors. The front fascia does not show any cracking or excessive road wear. This Boxster is powered by a 2.7L H6 engine that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission that is ready to hit the road.

The tan interior is luxury at its finest. The leather wrapped buckets are supple and include ventilation for desired passenger comfort. There is decent wear on the leather wrapped steering wheel that has darkened the leather's appearance. The previous owner notes that this Boxster has been upgraded to include a Pioneer radio. The black soft-top is taut but does have a couple of discoloration spots that could be a concern.

Overall, this Porsche is in decent shape considering it is now 17 years old. As evident by the fact that Porsche is still producing the Boxster, we can agree that Boxster roadsters remain quite collectible among automotive enthusiasts. We encourage you to check out this stellar example if you are looking to add the Porsche name to your collection. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
