Garage Kept Motors is very proud to feature this incredible 1932 Ford Roadster. This street rod is tastefully built with just the right details that blends vintage builds and classic hot rod styling cues that gives this highboy an appeal that will endure unlike.

This build is based on a Westcott body painted Canyon Red metallic. Westcott bodies are well structured steel reinforced bodies. The doors, which are built with inner and outer panels feature Ford style latches and hinges. The doors close with a solid thud, something absent on lower quality fiberglass bodies. The outer door handles have been shaved to give the body a clean look. The rear trunk compartment is fully functional and spacious. This space is fully upholstered, and the battery has been relocated to the trunk in a custom fabricated box. The paint has been well applied and the metallic effect is consistent. The paint presents with a deep shine. Chrome details are tasteful and include chrome dropped front axle, chrome steering components, stock bucket style headlamps and a modest chopped roof line and windshield. The tan canvas top is supported by a factory style wood frame, fabricated to complete the lowered roof. The final touch is the polished aluminum Halibrand wheels wrapped in blackwall radial tires. The smaller front wheels and tires matched with slightly larger rear wheels and tires give this rod a modest rake and a vintage racy look.

As you may expect, the cabin is simple and completely finished. The door panels and seats are upholstered in a rich burgundy vinyl with matching carpet. Fit and finish is excellent, the result of a professional installation and the interior shows little if any wear. A vintage looking leather wrapped banjo steering wheel accents the classic era look. The gears for 700R4 Automatic Transmission are selected by a custom floor shifter, and a floor mounted hand parking brake is mounted in the center of the cabin. The engine vitals are monitored by a set of Stewart Warner vintage font gauges and mounted in a custom aluminum mount with an engine turned burnished face.

Under the hood is clean and well detailed. Power comes from a Chevrolet 350cid ZZ4 crate motor producing 355hp. The engine features a 750 Holley carburetor with an electric choke, which sits atop an aluminum intake. The air fuel mixture flows into a set of aluminum heads. Combustion is lit by an HEI ignition, and spent gasses are expelled into a set of chrome headers. There are plenty of chrome accouterments, including chrome valve covers, fuel pump, air cleaner, billet pulleys, chrome brackets, and alternator. Electric fans help keep this hot set up running cool.

Underneath, the attention to detail does not quit. The chassis presents as well detailed, and clean. The frame is painted to match the body and is strengthened with tubular crossmembers. One each side of the car, a chrome dropped axle is mounted to a transverse mounted spring, softened by chrome shocks, and stabilized with chrome hairpin radius rods. Steering components are chromed, and the front disc brakes are cooled with aluminum covers. Power is transferred through the 700R4 automatic, back to a Ford 9” rear end riding on coil over shocks with four-link trailing arms. Chrome dual exhaust pipes with an H-pipe flows into chrome mufflers that exit in front of the rear wheels.

This classic Roadster looks great, it's sure to turn heads. It's a great car to show, but highly capable of a road trip to a regional rod run, or national show as well. Driving this Hot Rod is exhilarating to drive, with its responsive power. An exhaust pipe exiting just below your ears makes it easier to enjoy the pure motorhead music that is produced. While it shows very well, you will want to drive this Ford every chance you get. Please call if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thanks for looking.
