The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is perhaps one of the most popular and recognizable cars of the muscle car era and when you picture these iconic vehicles you most likely see it in Hugger Orange. Buyers in 1969 could opt for the Rally Sport (RS), the Super Sport (SS) and Z/28 performance option packages. The SS performance package as seen with the car featured here, came with special striping, SS badging and consisted of either a 350cid or 396cid V8s and chassis upgrades for better handling and braking to better handle with the additional power.

GKC is proud to feature truly garage kept beauty. This Hugger Orange paint and white rally stripes have been well applied and while there are few minor chips in the paint and light swirl scratches the paint is well kept and presents with a brilliant shine. The chrome bumpers and accompanying stainless trim has been well maintained and is in very good shape and provides a rich luster. The SS badging is present along with stainless wheel opening and side vent trim which are all part of the Super Sport option. Additional features include functional steel cowl induction hood and rear spoiler. The power convertible top is covered with a white vinyl top that is in very good condition with light wear and the rear window is clear with just some light scratches in the plastic.
Inside the cabin the interior upholstery appears original and has been well maintained with some light wear but no tears or rips. The carpet is free of any heavy wear with just some light sun fade and features a set of custom carpeted floor mats embroidered with the first gen Camaro logo. The dash features the AC Delco logo fuel gauge and 120 MPH speedometer framed in the optional 3 spoke comfort grip steering wheel. A set of Bosch gauges monitor the temperature, oil pressure and amps monitor the engine vitals, and the factory console sits between the bucket seats and surrounds a Hurst shifter. A Rampage AM/FM/Cassette player replaces the factory radio and is ready to provide your top-down cruising soundtrack.

Underneath the floorboards and subframe have been cosmetically restored and painted chassis black and there are no indications of any rust or accident repair. The suspension presents as well maintained and features new front and rear springs. The power front disc and rear drums have been recently serviced. A rear stabilizer bar was added to the rear and the exhaust flows through dual pipes with Flowmaster mufflers and custom chrome tips. Power from the motor is transferred to a American Gear Engineering M23 4 speed transmission and to a 10 bolt rear differential. This combination rolls on a set of American Racing Torque Thrust 15” wheels wrapped in high-speed low profile radial tires.

Under the hood is a professionally built bored and stroked 383cid V8 that produces 410hp. The engine compartment is clean and well detailed and will show well. A 4bbl carburetor sits a top an aluminum intake and the cowl induction hood is fully functional drawing in cold dense air from the baes of the windshield. The fuel air mixture flows into a set of Edelbrock RPM heads and is fired by a MSD electronic ignition. The spent gases are evacuated through a set of tubular headers in to the forementioned dual exhaust. Chrome accouterments abound under this hood with aluminum valve covers, chrome alternator, power steering pump, water pump, accessory brackets, and pulleys. This hot set up is kept cold with a Griffin Aluminum radiator.

This SS Camaro is a very clean ride and is ready for some top-down cruising at your local boulevard and car shows. This car is fun to drive as you shift through the gears and hear the rpms rise and fall through dual exhaust. The upgrades to the suspension make it fun to run through some curvy roads.
