This Carrera 4S is part of the first generation of Carerra that was watercooled, known by the 996 moniker. As a 2004, this car is a late generation 996, as the next generation of the Carrera, the 997, was released in 2005. Regardless, this car has the immediately recognizable Carrera shape. Arctic Silver Metallic paint over a red leather interior, paired with Porsche styling is truly stunning

The color combination of this car is very reminiscent of the Porsche Boxster concept car which was first introduced at the Detroit Auto Show in January of 1993. In the case of concept car vs. production car, this is a car you can own. The interior of this particular car is actually called “Boxster Red Special Leather”.

The car retains the same handsome styling of the 996 generation of the 911, with a few changes which occured as the 996 generation aged which eagle eyed enthusiasts will spot. At first glance to those who know a little about Porsches, this car looks like a Turbo thanks to the front bumper which has larger inlet openings, the rear bumper which has vented sections, and more aggressive looking wheels. A closer look reveals that the car is actually a Carrera 4S, or as many enthusiasts refer to them, a C4S.

This particular C4S is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic paint, which is in beautiful condition. The paint is highly glossy and has a clear protective material on the rear quarter panels. Adding a slightly different look to the car are the optional 18” Sport Techno wheels, which have large flat spokes, and are finished in a silver metallic very similar to the exterior color of the car.

As you can expect for a modern Porsche, inside the car there are lots of great features and lots of little design details to check out. This car has a few “Exclusive Options” which consist of the center console storage compartment lid having “Carrera” embossed on it, heated sport seats that have hard backs which match the exterior paint, aluminum and leather trimmed shifter and hand brake handle, and custom tailoring. Other great options are the Bose “High End” stereo (yes, it says “High End” on the Window Sticker), sunroof, climate control, in-dash CD player, black suede headliner, and stainless steel 'Carrera' script door entry guards (code X70). The interior is in beautiful condition, with very little evidence that the car has even been enjoyed.

Mounted at the rear of the car is a water cooled 3.6 Liter Flat-6 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. An all wheel drive system helps distribute the power and plant the car. Just over 14k miles are shown on the odometer. 18” Sport Techno wheels look great, especially with the colored crest center caps, and 4-piston red brake calipers peering out from between the spokes. The tailpipes are “X54” optional tailpipes which fill out the rear bumper openings.

The previous owners of this beautiful Carrera practiced great restraint in only driving this car just over 14k miles in a span of 18 years. It is truly a car that is easy on the eyes, so having a car like this tucked away which you can look at and admire, as well as drive here and there might not be a bad way to go. Not only will the classic 911 silhouette of this car have folks turning their heads to look at the car, the color combination is truly one that deserves a good look as well.
