1977 Ford F150 4x4

- Restored 7 Years Ago

Running from 1973 to 1979, the sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is the last generation of medium-duty trucks that were derived from the 1965 Ford truck platform. Lovely known as “dentside Fords” by enthusiasts, this generation of Ford trucks became the most popular version of the model line ultimately replacing the previous F-100 series line. In 1977, the F-series model became the best-selling truck in the United States, a position it has held ever since.

Highlighted here is an older restoration, Nevada 4x4 that catches many an eye. Sporting a complete white exterior with black painted chrome bumpers, this truck shows the time and effort put into the restoration. The paint is impeccable with little to no visual imperfections and comes with tasteful pinstriping along the body lines. Capping off the slight black details is a black bedliner in the truck bed providing continued protection for any future endeavors. The final touch to this overall look is aftermarket chrome wheels that add just enough “bling” to set off what could be considered plain white paint.

Under the hood, you will find a 351ci V8 complete with automatic transmission that came standard from the factory. Just like the exterior, the engine bay has been cleaned and shows how much of a powerhouse this truck truly is. The chassis and frame have received the same treatment and consideration as the exterior with protective coatings. Overall, this is one of the cleanest undercarriages that I have seem on an older restoration in quite some time.

Within the cab, you will find everything that a typical truck would be expected to have. The bright red interior is quite spectacular. The door insert panels, carpeting and bench seat have been replaced and show as clean enough to eat off of. The steering wheel appears to be original and does have decent cracking though. The dash also has reasonable scratches and paint chips from overall wear and tear. Finally, you will notice that the radio has been completely removed from the dash panel and the previous owner has given you the option to put in any radio of your choice.

As the first model year to give Ford the title of Best-Selling Truck, this 1977 would be an honor to own. Even being an older restoration, this truck is quite a peach and would be a staple in any collection. If you are in the market for a pickup, we encourage you to consider this one.
