Featured here is one of many outstanding Corvettes we have here at Garage Kept Motors. There is something ageless about C3 Corvettes, this generation of the GM's Y-body has remained relevant even after mutton chops, bell bottom pants and disco music have long since fallen out of favor. The C3 Corvette is like rock-n-roll of the era, whether you are dropping the needle on an Aerosmith album or dropping the hammer in this Corvette, it makes your heart race, you feel the excitement, it makes you want to move and that feeling never dulls and remains relevant.

This particular Corvette was delivered new to Lupient Chevrolet in Bloomington, Minnesota. It has been restored to the correct factory Millie Miglia red and the paint was professionally applied and polished to a deep luster. 1971 featured front and rear chrome bumpers and the chrome bumpers and related stainless trim are in very good condition and sparkle with a rich shine. This vehicle features a white vinyl convertible top that was recently installed as well as a hardtop covered in black vinyl. Restoration photos and receipts and documentation of the drivetrain numbers are all included.

The chassis is unrestored but presents as well maintained with new stabilizer links, shocks and rear monoleaf fiberglass composite spring. The frame is straight with no indications of any rust or accident repair. The factory dual exhaust and mufflers have been recently replaced and resonate that unmistakable Corvette rumble at idle and a deep exhaust note when under throttle. Under the hood is clean and features the correct numbers matching drivetrain. The 350ci 270hp LS5 small block Chevrolet went through a thorough rebuild in 2007 and upgraded with a performance camshaft and high-performance valve job. All the ignition stainless is present along with the dual snorkel air cleaner with chrome lid and has been upgraded with a set of aluminum custom Corvette embossed valve covers. The torquey LS5 350 V8 starts and runs well and sounds amazing as you power down the road. All that horsepower is transferred through the correct/numbers matching Turbo 400 Hydramatic automatic transmission which was rebuilt at the same time as the motor. The power is put to the road on a set of factory 15x8 Rally wheels with BF Goodrich radial T/A raised white letter tires.

Inside the cabin the red interior is nicely restored with new seat upholstery, carpet and door panels. This Corvette is well optioned with power disc brakes, and power steering. The factory radio has been replaced with a Custom AutoSound AM/FM Stereo with multi-disc CD player specially designed to upgrade the sound system in the C3 and fit without modification in the dashboard along with a set of 6X9 rear speakers.
