The 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 premiered with a new lighter aluminum 5.4 liter supercharged engine, at the Chicago auto show earlier that production year. This improvement vastly improved the handling nature of this iconic Mustang. With the convertible top, 550 horsepower and 510 ft lbs. of torque, a 6 speed manual and SVT handling package, this Mustang was built to drive! This low milage example, limited edition (number 325 of 330 made) is simply stunning with black on black exterior and leather interior with red matching racing stripes and interior accents make this Shelby a real show stopper.

With only 15,000 miles on the clock this Mustang is has been well cared for and presents like new with well-maintained high luster paint and finish. Underneath the underbody still retains its factory markings and decals. The leather interior is likewise in excellent condition and carpet shows little wear. Other features include factory navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and factory CD player to enhance your top-down cruises.

Under the hood the aluminum-block 5.4-liter V-8, topped by a Roots-type blower is clean, and free of any leaks and is in unmolested factory condition. This Mustang retains the factory exhaust which is in excellent condition and sounds throaty.

The SVT Performance package is enhanced with Michelin rubber with P265/40 up front and P285/35 rear tires mounted on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged lightweight aluminum wheels. The rear differential is a 3.73:1 final-drive ratio and 2011 was the first year of the electric power steering.

The combination of less weight, more power, better tires, and a revised suspension on the 2011 Shelby makes for a very desirable vehicle to own and drive. Motor Trend in 2011 recorded at the test track, 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, 0 to 100 in 9.1 seconds, and the standing quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds at 117 mph.
