By 1973, when this E-body Barracuda first came off the assembly line, the OEM big-block brawlers of the past were long gone, and the Barracuda itself ended production the following season. Just 11,000 were built for the 1973 model year which makes you wonder when's the last time you saw one out and about? The muscle-car fad was on its way out: sales of high-performance cars plummeted. Safety standards, the specter of unleaded gas and the dreaded catalytic converter and slowing sporty-car sales all spelled doom for Plymouth's peppy little pony car. But when you look at this car all that gloom and doom of the end of the muscle car era disappears and you want to jump in and cruise the streets.

The combination of bright orange paint with black accents and factory striping is a real head turner. The paint presents well with a nice luster and body fit is good on all panels. The factory 14” steel rallye wheels with factory center caps and stainless trim rings are wrapped in raised white letter radial rubber that finishes muscular looks of this boulevard cruiser. The underbody of this car is unrestored but is very solid with no rust and there are no indications of any collision or rust repair.

The interior has been cosmetically restored with new seat upholstery and carpet and features the factory sport wheel and factory gauges with 120 MPH speedometer and factory AM radio. The 3-speed manual transmission gear changes are handled by a floor mounted manual shifter.

Under the bulging scooped hood sits a 318 V8 adorned with all the right go fast goods, including Edelbrock AVS 4bbl carburetor with electric choke atop a Weiand aluminum dual plane manifold. The exhaust gases flow through headers into dual exhaust pipes in Thrust chambered mufflers. The tailpipes rumble with the music of the streets from days gone by.

Needless to say this car would be a great driver to take out and cruise and will be sure to draw a crowd at the local car shows and cruise ins.
