(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1997 Ford F250 on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the truck due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 165 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to its accident and damage-free Carfax history, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)

“The (F250) Tenth Generation… between 1997 and 2003” – Joe Cotton Ford, Carol Stream, IL

“This is where Ford made some major changes to its F-Series lineup and was basically split into two categories: F-150 became a contemporary personal use truck, while the F-250 and F-350 became classified as working-class trucks.”

Offered here is a 1997 Ford F250 extended cab 4WD pickup in white-and-blue over gray. A well-maintained, 7.5-liter-V8- powered “working-class” truck, its odometer currently reads 150,215 miles, or fewer than 6,300 miles per-year since new.

The refreshed white exterior paint shows very well with good overall gloss and smooth finish across all metal and fiberglass body panels; there is no impact damage to any panel. The lower dark-blue side accent adds flair. Added cab-extension side panels and windshield visor are properly installed. (To best assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure to view the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Chrome work—on the front grille, both bumpers, front brush bar, West-Coast-style mirrors, and added body-side trim—is all in excellent condition. Original Ford oval grille emblem, “F250 Heavy-Duty” front-fender emblems, and “Ford” embossing on the tailgate are all in place. The cargo box shows signs of wear from normal work use, but not abuse or lack of proper care. Cabin glass (including sliding rear window) and lighting lenses are clear. Factory dish-style, 16-inch polished-alloy wheels are mounted with GoodYear® Wrangler 235/75 LT outline-white-letter tires.

The F250's interior color theme is gray: carpeting, fabric upholstery on the front bucket (with center seat) and rear jump seat, and door trim are all executed in shades of gray. Seat upholstery shows wear, especially in front; carpets and headliner show soiling. The 2-spoke early multi-function steering wheel frames the full analog instrument cluster set in the black dash. The shift lever for the automatic transmission is mounted on the steering column, and the factory audio system remains mounted above the HVAC controls. (Please view the close-up photography in the gallery to assess the condition of the F250's interior surfaces.)

Under the hood, the 7.5-liter Ford V8 commands a clean and properly ordered engine bay. All components are in place with K&N low-restriction air filtration added. Viewed from below, the chassis is straight and undamaged. Light surface rust is present on some untreated metal.

The truck's original identification and information tags remain mounted. The full set of owner literature is included in the sale.

While the more than 165 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '197 Ford F250 in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.

Well-maintained tenth-generation Ford work trucks are always a great find. This F250 4WD crew cab is a perfect example.
