Offered here is a 1966 Shelby Cobra replica in gunmetal gray metallic with twin charcoal black racing stripes. Created beginning with a Hunter (of Florida) kit, the car was professionally hand-built in 2005 with full component customization and given a Michigan Assembled Identification Number. The car is 100% street-legal and very much trackable; it has dynoed at 525 horsepower. The odometer currently registers 1,670 miles since its creation.

The exterior finish on the Cobra is exceptional: perfectly glossy, smooth-as-glass, with racing stripes flawlessly incorporated. The two colors offer the perfect, subtle hint of contrast to one another. All chrome—including bumper bars, light trim, side-exhaust pipes, windshield surround, and 3-point roll bar—is in excellent condition, as is the brushed-metal trim on the front fender vents and racing side mirrors. (Both side-exhaust pipes show minor indentations.) A custom “Cobra 429” emblem graces the fenders. Torque Thrust® 15-inch polished-aluminum wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich® Radial T/A raised-white-letter 235/60 all-season performance tires. Details inside the Cobra are just as satisfying. Doors are trimmed in black leather (with map pockets incorporated) as is the dash. Racing-style bucket-seat upholstery is vertically pleated in the classic fashion. The 4-point Sparco® safety belts are properly installed. Cabin floors and the trunk interior are covered in charcoal carpeting. A Grant®, 3-spoke, matte-black sport steering wheel wears a Cobra center emblem. A full range of analog AutoMeter® gauges are arrayed to the left of the glove-box door which is adorned with Carroll Shelby's autograph. The shift lever for the 5-speed manual transmission is mounted atop the transmission tunnel. Under the special high-rise, lift-off hood secured with hood pins, the 429-cubic-inch Ford V8 is an enthusiast's dream: Ford-blue-painted block, MSD® ignition components, “Ford Racing”-branded polished-metal valve covers, bare-metal intake manifold, open-sided air-cleaner, and aluminum radiator all supply plenty of performance cred. If more is desired, the engine music will deliver it. Viewed from below, the Cobra's chassis is straight, clean, and undamaged.
