Effectively, this is a brand-new car in one of the most desired of the colors available. In addition to the breathtaking color, there is literally no sign of even the most minor flaw anywhere on the body. Every piece of trim, every square inch of every surface looks as though the car had just rolled out of the Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant. All the “carbon-flash” gloss-black-metallic trim (the only chrome on the body is on the quad, squared exhaust tips) is similarly perfect. That includes the many air-openings, all of which are functional, and the removable roof panels. Factory badging—including the colorful crossed-flags hood emblem, rear-deck “stingray” graphic, and rear C-o-r-v-e-t-t-e lettering (all in black or set in black)—is correctly in place. Original split-5-spoke wheels in gloss black (with the Corvette logo embossed and center caps wearing the crossed-flags emblem) are mounted with Michelin® Pilot Sport S all-season performance tires. The open wheel design allows easy views of the Corvette-and-Brembo®-branded disc-brake calipers. Needless to say, the wheels, tires, and brakes are in perfect condition as well.

Inside, the many Sky Cool Gray color theme is a perfect complement to the exterior red. All leather surfaces (including the dash, door trim, and steering wheel) are gray with white stitching, a very handsome, understated combination. The 8-way power, GT2, contoured bucket seats are exceptional in their design and comfort. Cabin floors are carpeted in charcoal with protective carpet mats. A number of cross-flag emblems—including embossed in the leather headrests--ensure no occupant forgets the storied brand (as if). Digital instrumentation and driver-information interface 8-inch screen are perfectly organized. The entire “flying buttress”-style console is a design triumph; the shifter for the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is located there.
