“Ford ended the 1980s the same way it entered--number one in domestic truck sales.” - BlueOvalTech.com

“In 1980, pickup trucks were still generally restricted to work duty and seldom featured items like power window or door locks. Carburetors fed fuel to engines, "three-on-the-tree" manual transmissions still sent power to the wheels, and computer control was something relegated to science fiction. The 1980s forever changed the automotive landscape however, and as the decade came to a close, the rise of the pickup from work vehicle to mainstream transportation was all but complete. Leading that charge, as it had since the late 1970, was the Ford F-Series.” (Full 1989 Ford truck resource available online here: https://www.blueovaltech.com/history/1989-ford-trucks.php)

Offered here is a seriously lifted and beautifully refreshed 1989 Ford F150 extended-cab in medium-blue metallic-and-white over a fully customized blue-and-white interior. Showing 110,107 miles currently, the truck has traveled fewer than 3,500 miles per-year on average since new.

The exterior metallic-blue paint with body-side (and tailgate) insert in white was professionally executed: the glossy finish is smooth, even, and free of imperfections. The two colors are separated by a tape stripe. (To best assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure to view the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) The body is free of dings, dents, or other damage and includes a number of custom upgrades. A replacement angular chrome front bumper, with diamond-plate top and body-color-painted end caps, is mounted; a tubular chrome grille replaces the original; rooftop marker lights are mounted; lower, black-painted, “street-level” tubular-steel bumpers have been added front and rear; and a chrome entry-assist step is mounted. Original chrome on the exterior mirrors, and door handles shows well with light age-related patina. Factory badging is limited to the front-grille blue-oval Ford emblem and the embossed F-O-R-D tailgate lettering perfectly painted white. Cabin glass and lighting lenses are free of damage.Toyo® MT 37.50x14.50 LT off-road tires are mounted on Eagle® alloy, 8-hole, stock-look wheels.

The truck's interior is fully and spectacularly customized in premium materials with a blue-and-white color theme. White vinyl covers the front bucket seats (and center jump seat) as well as the rear “crew” bench seat, all of which feature blue lower seat platforms. A Ford oval logo is embossed in the white headliner. Door trim is white with bright blue accents top and bottom. Blue carpeting covers the cabin floors. A custom brushed-metal trimmed Billet® steering wheel with blue rim frames the generally stock dashboard re-executed in white with carbon-fiber-look trim replacing the original faux wood pieces. Original slide-lever heating and air-conditioning controls remain above an upgraded Pioneer® audio unit in the center factory-radio location; and “XLT Lariat” emblem faces the front passenger. The transfer-case selector is floor-mounted while the shift lever for the automatic transmission is mounted on the steering column.

Under the hood, the original 5.8-liter, electronically fuel-injected Ford V8 commands a clean, unmodified engine bay. Viewed from below, the truck's chassis is clean, complete, undamaged, and properly modified with lift-kit components. The ungraded suspension offers a number of visual focal points. Rust-inhibiting spray covers most metal so very little surface rust is present.

The truck's original identification and information tags remain mounted.
