Here are excerpts from MotorTrend: “…while there's no doubt that the 2012 R8 is a supercar, part of its appeal is that it's also easy to drive normally, making its case as a daily driver….. By all accounts, the R8's styling is a homerun. All R8 variants come standard with 19-inch wheels with a number of available styles and finishes. All R8 variants come standard with a number of luxury and tech features including power adjustable seats….

“The R8 coupe and convertible are available with a 4.2-liter V-8 engine rated at 420 hp or a 5.2-liter V-10 that puts out 525. The V-10 is tuned to put out 525 hp.... The V-10 is the same engine used in the Lamborghini Gallardo. Audi's R-Tronic six-speed sequential single-clutch automatic is available.... Coupled with Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system, the R8 offers loads of grip when tackling corners. Going from 0-60 mph happens in a hurry - about 4.6 seconds with the 4.2-liter 420-hp engine and a little over three seconds in the range-topping R8 GT equipped with the 560-hp V-10 powerplant…. The two-passenger R8 comes standard with six airbags for front, side, and knee protection. Also standard is electronic stability control, and multi-piston brake calipers.”

Offered here is a 2012 Audi R8 5.2 (V10) Quattro R-Tronic Coupe in exclusive Ibis White over black trim. Built at Audi's dedicated Neckarsulm, Germany plant and delivered new to Macdonald Audi of Littleton, Colorado, the car has traveled a scant 1,329 miles, or fewer than 150 miles per-year on average. Its exceptional condition qualifies this R8 as essentially a brand-new, 9 year-old automobile. The car's original factory window sticker showing all equipment is included in the sale and presented in the accompanying gallery. It includes the “Exclusive Selection 2” option group which Audi describes as: “For V-10 versions of the Audi R8, the Exclusive Selection Edition brings Ibis White paint, contrasted with black-painted side blades and mirrors, as well as the dark-tinted taillights from the R8 GT. The interior scores several white-painted trim pieces, Alabaster White contrast stitching on leather components, and carbon fiber trim.” This option group was limited to just 50 cars.

“As new” perfectly captures the R8's exterior Ibis White non-metallic paint and related trim. The color is a longtime Audi-heritage choice having graced many of the brand's rally cars. There is not a hint of a flaw of any kind anywhere on the car's exterior. Gloss-black mirror caps, side blades, front grilles, rear insert, and lower-rear exhaust surround is uniformly pristine. Window glass and lighting lenses are perfectly clear. Factory 19-inch polished-metal-and-gloss-black, 5-split-spoke wheels (with Audi-rings logo center caps) are mounted with directional Z-rated Bridgestone® performance tires, 235/35 in front, 295/30 in the rear. The wheel openings provide good views of the cross-drilled brake rotors and R8-branded black calipers.

Inside, the same remarkable original appearance and condition is also evident. The color theme is black-and-white, expressed in white-stitched black-leather upholstery, white insert panels on black sculpted door panels, white-trimmed black carpet mats protecting the black cabin carpeting, white-painted inserts on the sides of the center console, a black sport multi-function steering wheel trimmed in white-stitched black leather, and white-faced gauges on the instruments set in the black dashboard. Dark, carbon-fiber trim graces the instrument cluster, while the leather-trimmed center stack houses the infotainment screen, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and climate control functions, forward of the shift lever for the R-Tronic shiftable automatic transmission.

Under the glass hatch, the Lamborghini-derived, 525-horsepower V10 is a work of automotive art framed by carbon-fiber panels, every surface perfect. Viewed from below, the car's chassis is complete and undamaged, largely protected by factory-installed panels.
