“2021 Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak is the quickest yet” – MotorAuthority, September 2020

The website continued: “… if you're really serious about hitting the strip, you should look no further than the Dodge Challenger Drag Pak specials, a new version of which was unveiled on Wednesday. Offered via Mopar, the Challenger Drag Paks are dedicated, turnkey drag racers designed for National Hot Rod Association and National Muscle Car Association classes. This means they get a full roll cage fabricated to NHRA and NMCA specifications, along with other mandated safety gear. The latest 2021 Challenger Drag Pak, according to Dodge, is the quickest yet, at least when it's powered by the 5.8-liter supercharged V-8 on offer. How quick? We're talking a quarter-mile ET in the seven seconds."

"Dodge hasn't said how much horsepower makes the feat possible, but we know the engine, which is approved for NHRA FSS and NMCA classes, is aided by a newly developed 3.0-liter Whipple twin-screw supercharger, upgraded internals, a new accessory drive, and a new aluminum ice tank to keep the intercooler extra cool. The other big change for the 2021 model is a new suspension setup. It incorporates a new four-link rear setup that helps the car launch harder and stay planted throughout the run, i.e., reducing wheelspin. You'll find longer control arms, a wishbone link for lateral control (replacing a Panhard bar in prior models), plus a thicker anti-roll bar (250% stiffer than prior models).”

Offered here is a brand-new, 0-mileage, 2021 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak in its characteristic white with blue-and-red-graphics livery over black. All aspects of the car—aesthetics, equipment, interior and exterior surfaces— are literally as-new. This not-for-street-use, estimated 200-mph-capable car is number 49 of just 50 produced for 2021, and the very last one painted white. It will be sold on a Bill of Sale as the Drag Pak cars are manufactured without a VIN. The car's many special performance features and equipment are listed in detail nearby and should be carefully reviewed. Down to its rear-mounted parachute, this is a “for serious racers only” offering.

The exterior red-white-and-blue color scheme is striking, and the MOPAR graphics make it absolutely clear this is a Dodge-factory-created, quarter-mile race car. The many exterior touches—including hood scoop and twin hood air-intake grilles, front chin spoiler, door-mounted cabin-air intakes, race-style fuel filler-cap, black rear-deck spoiler, “wheelie” wheels, Simpson® racing parachute, and Moroso® electrical-cut-off pull-handle—are true racing-spec equipment, not style-based add-ons. Factory badging (in addition to the graphics) includes the “SRT” grille emblem, side “dragpak” identification, and rear D-O-D-G-E lettering. Dragpak and Wells Racing®-identified black, split-10-spoke wheels are mounted with white-lettered Mickey Thompson® “ET Front M/T” tires and rear slicks.
Inside, the car is all-business, and that business is safety and speed. A partial list of interior equipment includes full, professionally built roll cage and driver-safety set-up (including window net), MOPAR Drag Connection® fully bolstered race seats, 5-point RaceTech® safety restraining belts for driver and passenger, custom AutoMeter® gauge package mounted on carbon-fiber, removable, Alcantara-clad steering wheel, digital Holley® EFI fuel-injection and race-information system, Precision Performance Products drag-racing, automatic-transmission shift lever, RacePak® toggle-switch controls with unnecessary street-version controls and switchgear removed. Again, please refer to the more comprehensive list presented nearby.

Under the hood, the 354-cubic-inch supercharged Hemi V8 is a sight to make an enthusiast's heart beat faster. The “dragpak 49-of-50”-identified, massive supercharger rides atop the orange-painted engine. An adjacent aluminum ice tank to keep the intercooler properly chilled is one more serious-performance but of kit, as are the suspension-setting adjustment knobs on the inner fenders. Of course, all engine components are brand-new and pristine in their spotlessness. Viewed from below, visual focal points include SRT® branded steel protective engine-service plates, massive exhaust headers feeding collectors (with no exhaust or muffler system beyond that), chassis-stiffening from added welded tubular-steel, racing fuel cell, and custom rear-axle setup.

The car's original engine-build tag remains properly riveted in place, stating number 49 of 50 built.

While the more than 120 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '21 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.

It's possible this car will be captured for a private collection, but somehow that seems like a shame. For our part, we're hoping to see it rocking sub-8-second times out on one track after the next. MOPAR… FTW!
