“Cadillac's CTS-V is not just the best American sport sedan in history; it's also one of the best in the world. Period.” – Motor Trend, July 2010

Motor Trend reviewer Mark Bramley went on: “Better than Jaguar's impressive XFR. Better than BMW's legendary M5. And so close to Mercedes-Benz's benchmark E63 AMG that choosing between the two is really down to personal taste and whether your pockets are deep enough to handle the German car's $25,000 price premium.”

He summarized his trip across Europe following the car's introduction at Britain's Goodwood Festival of Speed: “A 665-mile, one-day dash from the south of England to deepest Bavaria underscored CTS-V Coupe's credentials as a continent-crushing grand tourer. That supercharged V-8 drinks from such deep reserves of power and torque that it hardly feels like it's breaking a sweat. Setting the shocks in Tour mode overlays the firm ride with just the right amount of compliance, yet keeps the chassis composed and communicative. We cruised as fast as we could across Germany, hitting an indicated 165 mph more than once, and the Caddy tracked like a bullet train, even when hammering through big sweeping turns on the Autobahn at a buck-forty or so. It has the same calm, deliberate demeanor at speed as an AMG Mercedes.”

Offered here is a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in black over black. The car is equipped with the highly desirable 6-speed manual transmission. It has traveled a total of 66,964 miles, roughly just 7,000 miles per-year on average. Two minor-damage incidents shown on the Carfax long since been fully and professionally repaired with no sign of the damage or the repairs remaining.

The exterior black paint retains its original shine and even, deeply reflective gloss. Black was an excellent color choice on the sculpted body and adds emphasis to the bright trim as well, notably the bespoke front grille and the rakish side-window trim. The all-black look gives the car a slightly sinister vibe. (To best assess the quality of the paint and trim finishes, be sure to view the close-up photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Cabin glass—including darkly tinted side and rear glass—is free of cracks or other imperfections. All lighting lenses are similarly pristine. Factory badging is limited to the Cadillac-crest emblem in the front grille and on the rear deck. The distinctive twin-center exhaust outlets and lower-valance cross-hatch trim complete a handsome rear end. Custom 20-inch Niche® 20-spoke wheels in black (https://www.nicheroadwheels.com) are mounted with Ironman® iMove Gen2 all-season tires. The wheel openings allow good views of the disc-brake rotors.

The black color theme continues throughout the stylish interior. Very well bolstered Recaro® front bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with perforated center inserts and small, Cadillac-crest emblems in the upper seatbacks. Rear seats share the same upholstery. Premium black carpeting covers the cabin floors protected with matching carpet mats with embroidered “Cadillac V” logos. A Cadillac-crest center emblem adorns the 3-spoke, multi-function steering wheel, the lower-center spoke branded with the “Cadillac V” emblem. Extensive piano-black trim (in excellent condition) graces the dashboard, console, and door panels. The analog instrument cluster hosts black-chrome-trimmed gauges including, from left to right, a tachometer, 330-mph speedometer, and engine-monitoring 3-gauge grouping. The center stack includes the digital information screen, analog clock, premium audio-system controls, and climate controls, with an elevating screen for the backup camera. The shift lever for the 6-speed manual transmission is located on the center console and topped with a leather knob with a metal insert displaying the shift-pattern and the “Cadillac V” crest. At the rear of the console is a leather-trimmed center armrest with storage beneath. All interior surfaces show very well with little sign of wear and absolutely no damage.

Under the hood, the supercharged 6.6-liter V8 is presented with panels in place displaying the Cadillac-crest and the V-logo emblems. The engine compartment (with massive shock-strut support bar and an Airaid® intake system) is extremely clean. Viewed from below, the car's chassis is similarly clean and free of damage. Light surface rust is present only on untreated metal. The lower surfaces of the engine and transmission, as well as the full-length dual-exhaust system with “x” crossover, are visual focal points.

The car's original build and identification tags remain mounted. The original owner's manual and a custom car cover are included in the sale.

While the more than 150 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this 2011 Cadillac CTS-V

The Motor Trend writer quoted above spoke of the tire-smoking impact the CTS-V coupe made at its European launch: “You don't always need a Bugatti Veyron to make an entrance.” Amen to that.
