1949 Crosley Hot Shot 2 Dr Roadster
See all photos and video on dealer website: Garage Kept Motors Offered here is a unique and fun driving experience. This 1949 Crosley Hot Shot 2-Door Roadster is one of several vehicles from a West Michigan man's collection that Garage Kept Motors is excited to offer for sale. Crosley Motors manufactured unique automobiles in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1939 to 1952. During World War II, these smaller cars became popular due to their incredible fuel economy for the time period - over 50 miles per gallon! After the war, the Hot Shot became a popular water cooled example powered by a small but steady 44cid/26.5hp 4-Cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual gearbox. They were a hit and even the likes of Nelson Rockefeller, the Governor of New York, owned a Hot Shot. President Dwight Eisenhower, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Tommy Dorsey also owned Crosleys. This example has been in a local man's collection for many years. He recently passed, which is why this vehicle and others are for sale. The car has been gone through mechanically and has a rebuilt distributor. It runs and drives extremely well. Shifting is smooth and for 26.5 horsepower, it really gets up and goes. The frame is solid and has always been garage kept. This little car gets big attention. No matter what stop light you're at, you will have passersby giving you thumbs up (yes, it is street legal), that's a guarantee. If you're in the market for something unique and fun, this would be a great vehicle for you. Proudly made in the U.S.A. and great piece of American automobile history.Call or e-mail if interested. Thank you for looking.
