“The curviest and the most gorgeous out of all other model years, the 1967 Chevy Impala was a unique combination of full-size comfort, luxury, and potent V8 performance.” – HotCars.com, January 2021

The HotCars website explained: “The 1967 Impala was a part of the fourth generation of the model. While it was not completely new, it was heavily redesigned to give the car an even longer and wider look. Enhanced with a coke bottle styling, the model featured front and rear fender bulges inspired by Corvette. With a total length of 213 inches and a standard wheelbase of roughly 119 inches, the dimensions were almost the same as in previous years. However, the body was revamped. The wraparound front grille had made an appearance for the first time and elongated the body through the corners. Both the Impala and Impala SS (Super Sport) package featured the elegant fastback styling of the rooflines and back glass. The rooflines extended straight into the rear deck complemented by the rear fenders that gave it a... rounder and curvier look.”

Offered here is a 1967 Chevy Impala hardtop in white over black under a black vinyl top. The car has been well maintained and looked after over its half-century-plus life and remains an excellent example of the model year. Showing 62,220 miles, roughly just 1,150 miles per-year since new, this largely stock survivor with power brakes and power steering is 100% cruise-ready.

The exterior paint retains good gloss across the flowing fastback body. (Be sure to view close-up photos of the paint condition shown in the gallery.) Body-panel fit is at or above the manufacturing standards of the day. There is no damage on any sheet metal. Chrome trim on the quad-headlight grille, front bumper, window surrounds, Chevrolet-embossed outside mirrors, door handles, rear bumper, and taillight trim retains good shine, free of damage with only light patina from age. The black vinyl top is in generally very good condition with some signs of looseness. An added thin, dual stripe on the flanks emphasizes the car's impressive length. All factory badging—including the twin-flag front-fender insignia (denoting a 283 cubic-inch V8), Impala script and leaping gazelle emblem on the rear quarters, and Chevrolet script on the trunk lid—is all properly in place. Cabin glass and all lighting lenses are clear and uncracked. Aftermarket GrandPrix® spoke-design wheels are mounted with Grand Prix® Radial GT outline-white-letter tires. (The removed stock wheels are included in the sale.)

Inside, the color theme is black. Door trim is rendered in stylized, square-pattern, black vinyl with chrome trim. Front folding bench seats are upholstered in vertically pleated black vinyl while the rear bench upholstery is the car's original black patterned fabric. Black carpeting covers the cabin floors, and the dashboard and steering wheel (with Impala emblem center) are black as well. The instrument cluster features three large openings for the fuel gauge, speedometer, and clock as well as four smaller openings for warning lights. Brushed-metal trim below surrounds operating controls. To the right, slide-lever controls operate the heating, ventilation, and defrost. The factory AM radio remains mounted. Overall condition of the dash and control surfaces is very good. The rear parcel shelf, however, is in need of cosmetic repair or replacement.

Under the hood, the rebuilt 283-cubic-inch V8--with red-orange-painted valve covers, chrome air-cleaner cover, and silver manifold—is the center of attention in a clean and orderly, original-appearing engine bay. Viewed from below, the car's chassis is complete and undamaged with expected surface rust present on most untreated metal. A focal point is the full-length dual exhaust system with performance mufflers.

The car's original build and identification remain mounted.

While the more than 145 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '67 Impala in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.

There's a special joy that comes from cruise nights at the wheel of a '67 Impala. The beautiful fastback design, the sound of the V8, and the feeling of being part of the Sixties generation comes together for a feeling of being part of a long-lost time. A time that you've somehow brought right up to the present to the thumbs-up approval from the admiring crowds.
