The metallic-white exterior paint upholds Mercedes' tradition of superb paint application. The finish remains properly glossy and is free of blemishes, scrapes, or other abrasions. (Be sure to inspect the close-up photography in the gallery.) All exterior sheet metal, including on the power-folding hardtop, is free of dings, dents, or even minor damage. The bespoke front grille is virtually perfect, as are factory-applied badges including the three-pointed-star emblem in the front grille, Mercedes traditional logo atop the hood, and three-pointed star and model designation on the rear deck. Bright-metal trim on the side louvers, hood louvers, and dual-exhaust tips is as-new. Cabin glass—including on the sunroof—is flawless. Lighting lenses are similarly pristine. Perfect-condition, factory 5-spoke, 19-inch, Mercedes-Benz-branded alloy wheels are mounted with 235/55 Michelin® Pilot Sport A/S3 all-season performance tires.

The 2-seater's overall interior condition echoes the exterior, namely unworn, undamaged, and virtually as-new. Beige Nappa-leather seat upholstery and cabin trim shows no imperfections and virtually no signs of wear. Clearly, this SL500 benefitted from outstanding owner care. Tan cabin carpeting is protected with matching, Mercedes-Benz-embroidered carpet mats. Burled-wood trim graces the doors and the center console, home to the automatic-transmission shift lever. A multi-function, wood-trimmed steering wheel frames white-faced gauges under a handsomely curved dash. The upper-center console hosts the digital infotainment and navigation screen above the HVAC controls. Fit and finish throughout the interior is of Mercedes' typical high caliber. All surface finishes and graphic markings are unworn and fresh.

Under the hood, the 380-horsepower, 5.5-liter Mercedes V8 commands a spotlessly clean and properly organized engine bay. All components are correctly in place and there are no indications of aftermarket modifications. Viewed from below, the chassis is complete, clean, and free of damage with no indications of the sort of damage that can arise from too-aggressive driving styles.

The factory-applied identification and information tags remain mounted.
