“2021 Chevrolet Corvette Review: American Perfection” – Forbes
Forbes reviewer, Kyle Edward, went on: “The Chevrolet Corvette has been around us for decades and it is particularly known for providing an exciting driving experience at a relatively affordable price. The car has always been able to satisfy its fanbase due to its innovative features that are a first for any of its kind. The latest generation is commonly called the C8 and it successfully carries on the legacy of surprising everyone with its chiseled exterior and an interior that looks more premium than the price tag would have suggested."
By now, the 2021 Corvette is pretty well-known to the general public, and very well known to enthusiasts. Most Corvette fans have read the outpouring of praise heaped on the car across the automotive and general press as above. All the pre-production hype for this first-ever, mid-engine 'Vette has been proven deserved. Now that the cars are in the hands of the public and automotive magazine editors, test drives aplenty have resulted in countless profile articles. In almost every instance, the superlatives have proven to be accurate, or even too mild. Perhaps the only remaining issue with these superb sports cars is getting your hands on one.
Offered here in Elkhart Lake Blue (a nod to the location of the Midwest's premier road-racing track in that Wisconsin town) over Sky Cool Gray leather is a 2021 Corvette Stingray convertible with a mere 551 miles on its odometer. This is a 3LT-spec automobile with the optional Z51 performance group added on top, virtually the highest-level total package available from the factory. Effectively, this is a brand-new car in perhaps the most desired of the colors available. For a complete list of the car's extensive standard and optional features, in particular, the details of the Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic Selective Ride Control, please refer to the car's window sticker which is available in the photo gallery (and of course, included in the sale).
In addition to the exterior paint being an absolutely breathtaking color, there is literally no sign of even the most minor flaw anywhere on the body. Every piece of trim, every square inch of every surface looks as though the car had just rolled out of the Bowling Green, Kentucky assembly plant. All the “carbon-flash” gloss-black-metallic trim (the only chrome on the body is on the quad, squared exhaust tips) is similarly perfect. That includes the many air-openings, all of which are functional, and the removable roof panels. Factory badging—including the colorful crossed-flags hood emblem, rear-deck, new-for-2021 “stingray” graphic, and rear C-o-r-v-e-t-t-e lettering (all in black or set in black)—is correctly in place. Original split-5-spoke wheels (with the Corvette logo embossed and center caps wearing the crossed-flags emblem) are mounted with Michelin® Pilot Sport S all-season performance tires. Needless to say, the wheels and tires are in perfect condition as well.
Inside, the many Sky Cool Gray leather surfaces provide a perfect complement to the exterior blue. Remaining leather surfaces (such as on the dash, door trim, and steering wheel) are black with gray stitching, a very handsome combination. The 8-way power, GT2, contoured bucket seats are exceptional in their design and comfort. Cabin floors are carpeted in black with protective black carpet mats. A number of cross-flag emblems—including embossed in the leather headrests--ensure no occupant forgets the storied brand (as if). Digital instrumentation and driver-information interface 8-inch screen are perfectly organized. The entire console is a design triumph; the shifter for the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is located there.
Views of the mid-mounted 6.2-liter, 495 horsepower engine (capable of under-3-second 0-60 times) and chassis are obscured by the multiple protective panels, but those surfaces match the spotless appearance of the remainder of this Corvette.
The Corvette's factory build tags are properly in place. The 3-year, 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and 5-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty, remain in effect. Both key fobs and a car cover are included in the sale.
While the more than 170 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this remarkable 2021 C8 Corvette in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.
This stunning C8 Corvette will inevitably find its way into the hands of a very fortunate fan of America's sports car. More importantly, it will add plenty of memorable driving miles piloted by that individual. Envious? We sure are.
