(Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 1990 Ford Bronco on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of the classic SUV due to third-party website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 135 photographs, as well as a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the Bronco's Carfax history report, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.)

“Long before the Ford Raptor was a thing, the Ford Bronco was the Blue Oval's off-road icon.” -Car and Driver, July 2020

The 1990 Bronco offered here in two-tone tan over tan is a well-maintained, third-generation, nicely refreshed Bronco survivor. With 64,021 total miles (or a very conservative roughly 2,100 miles per-year on average), the truck has been respectfully owned, properly refreshed and well-maintained.

The exterior of the Bronco has been professionally repainted in an attractive combination of darker tan over lighter tan. The finish is excellent across all body panels, including the fiberglass, removable roof (sorta… it weighs 600 pounds) and the truck's tailgate, with no signs of fading, wear, or damage. (The roof-mounted emergency lighting and cargo basket carrier likely served a volunteer fireman's need to get through traffic; they are removable.) Body panels are straight, free of dents, and show no sign of any replacement. Panel gaps are consistent. A dark-brown paint stripe on the lower body-side trim makes for a stylish, premium appearance. Factory-installed, chrome “West Coast”-style side mirrors are mounted. Other chrome work—on the bumpers, grille, and windshield surround—retains close-to-new shine. Lighting lenses are clear and undamaged. Auxiliary lighting has been mounted on the front bumper. All factory emblems and badging—including “4x4” on below the front grille, “Bronco Custom” badges on the fenders, and blue-oval Ford logo badges front and rear—is properly in place. Factory optioned polished-aluminum wheels are mounted with fresh BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA ® tires.

Interior surfaces—including the tan dash, original tan-fabric upholstery on the front high-back bucket and rear bench seats, and door panels—are clean and have been well cared-for. A stock black steering wheel frames the instrument cluster, also in black. The automatic-transmission shifter is column-mounted while the 4-wheel drive transfer case selector is floor-mounted (and preferred by many over the dash-mounted push-button system). The factory radio remains mounted; HVAC controls are located just above. A deep lockable storage compartment separates the front seats. Cabin glass is clear and free of damage. Tan carpeting throughout has been well cared for, including in the fully carpeted cargo area.

Under the hood (and note the cleanliness of the underside of the hood), the truck's engine bay is complete, unmodified, and very clean; data tags are present in the correct locations. The 5.8-liter Ford V8 has benefitted from regular maintenance. (The truck's sole Carfax history hiccup--an accident with a fence more than 20 years ago--has long since been completely corrected.) Viewed from below, the truck's undercarriage is clean with the factory protective reinforcing plate over the transfer case still mounted; the exhaust system shows no signs of abusive or too-aggressive driving (compressed pipes, for example). There are no indications of body panel rust or rust repair.

While the more than 135 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '90 Bronco in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch anytime by phone or email if you have questions.

With the arrival of the smaller 2021 Bronco, interest in its larger predecessors has risen dramatically. These earlier, classic SUVs deliver everyday usefulness and comfort in a well-designed and appealing full-size package. It's no wonder they were such an integral part of imaginary internet star, John Bronco's, success. (Search YouTube for “John Bronco” if you haven't met him.)
