“GM's big pickups are solid goods.” – Car and Driver, May 2008
The Car and Driver review noted: “…the Sierra is an outstanding line of full-size pickups that offer an excellent combination of good looks, work ethic, durability, range of choices, and value.” The magazine concluded: “…these trucks ride on GM's GMT900 chassis, arguably the best in the business at this time. Multiply that by the vast array of body styles and load ratings available, as well as an outstanding range of powertrains… and this GM truck family is hard to beat.”
Offered here is a diesel-powered, 4x4 2008 GMC Sierra K2500 HD crew cab in red over two-tone-gray. The truck has been fully restored with OEM parts and upgraded wheels. Originally delivered in Canada and now showing 215,955 miles in total, the K2500 has traveled, on average, 16,600 miles per-year. With apologies for employing the oft-abused term, this big GMC really does look “like new,” inside-out, top to bottom.
The professionally applied exterior red paint is uniform with deep and even luster across the entire 4-door body and cargo bed; lower body-panel areas are fresh and undamaged. There are no dents, no dings, virtually no indications of use. Every bit of trim (including the front grille, bumpers, running boards, cargo-bed-top trim, and side mirrors) and badging (including the “GMC” grille badge and the “2500HD/Diesel” fender identification) on the truck is rendered in black for a striking, serious look. Cabin glass and lighting lenses are perfectly clear and undamaged. The cargo area features a black, folding cover; the cargo bed is treated with black wear-resistant coating. Black, 8-spoke, three-piece-style, 17-inch GFX® wheels are mounted with Solarus® Starfire tires.
Inside, the “like new” impression is unavoidable: virtually every surface, every panel, every bit of trim could literally be brand new. Leather upholstery in gray on both front and rear seats shows no evidence of wear; the feel of the upholstery is excellent. In the same way, door, dash-center, and ceiling trim show no damage or signs of even light wear. The premium GMC dash in two-tone-gray and wood-and-brushed-metal trim is especially attractive; the same is true for the matching steering wheel (which shows light indications of use) with GMC-center-logo and side-mounted controls. All switchgear (including 4-wheel-drive selector knob, power-door lock switches and surrounding wood trim, and audio controls--looks and feels new; instrument lenses are clear, and all graphic markings are sharp and unfaded.
Under the hood, the impressive 6.6-liter, diesel V8 commands a well-ordered and extremely clean engine bay. All components—including air conditioning—are mounted in their correct factory locations. Here, too, there are no indications of damage.

In 2008, the GMC advertising slogan was “We are professional grade.” Over its life to this point, this ton-and-a-quarter GMC 4x4 crew cab has demonstrated the durability that's the benefit of that sort of engineering. In its current, refreshed to near-new state, it may continue demonstrating that GMC advantage stylishly for a long time to come.
