Square Body GM trucks like this Blazer are very popular right now, and amongst the continuous lineup of Square Bodies that we've been fortunate to have is this '81 Blazer. This Blazer is finished in Colonial Yellow over Tan interior, and offers a 5.0L V8 mated to an automatic transmission 4x4 system.

Part of the appeal of the Square Body trucks is that they are tough, long lasting trucks. This one fits right into that appealing feature. The Colonial Yellow paint is full of patina, which adds some character. This is a California truck, and being from the Golden State, where sun is plentiful year round, the exterior finish shows some age. The clearcoat is peeling on the hood and upper contour of the doors, despite that the body and panels are solid. The white top was repainted at some point and glass and seals in the top are in very nice condition. All trim is present and in very good condition.

The interior was recently reupholstered and the result is a high level fit and finish. Tan high back vinyl seats in the front match the rear bench seat. Tan carpeting is new throughout and matches the seat, door and dash trim. The dashboard features a brushed aluminum gauge surround, body color lower dash section with a tan upper dash pad, and a Panasonic stereo. Tilt wheel, column shift, 4x4 selector lever, tan door panels, and a fully trimmed rear cargo area are other notable interior features.

Under the hood is a 305ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission. 4x4 selection provides surefootedness in any terrain or conditions, with assistance from 15-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around Centerline wheels. The engine features an Edelbrock air cleaner, 4BBL carburetor, polished valve covers, air conditioning components, power steering, and power brakes.

Having been fortunate enough to have a nice selection of Square Body GM trucks, we enjoy seeing the body style continue to be popular. They're great looking trucks that are up for the job of hauling, or just cruising. Colonial Yellow over Tan interior is a cool color combination, and a V8 and 4x4 make this Blazer even cooler.
