“… you can have the best of both worlds with an available 6-speed automatic transmission… and TAPshift® for on-the-fly gear changes.” -2013 Chevrolet Camaro dealer brochure

In the rekindled muscle car wars of the 21st Century, the two storied contenders—Ford's Mustang and Chevrolet's Camaro—duke it out in much the same way as they did more than fifty years ago. Blue-oval guys favor the former, and the bowtie crowd is all-in for the Camaro. In 2013, Chevrolet upped the ante with new, more powerful Camaro entries. The Car Connection website noted the appeal of the new power: “… it's the V-8-powered Camaro that draws almost everyone into the whole notion of owning Chevrolet's pony car. Its 6.2-liter engine sings a lyrical note that's hypnotic to men of all ages. We're looped by it too—and by the rocket-like runs to 60 mph of 5 seconds or less.”

Offered here in white with black-and-red accents over black is a superbly maintained, very low-mileage Camaro SS with the big V8 and the 6-speed automatic. With only 14,367 miles on the odometer—just 1,795 miles per-year on average—this is about as “nearly new” as you can get. The car's condition bears that out, and a few well-chosen performance and appearance additions put the icing on the cake.

The car's exterior white paint is perfectly glossy and uniform across the entire body. The blacked-out hood and rear deck (and spoiler) with an offset red racing stripe add just the right touch of flair. Other touches of black—the bowtie emblems in the front grille and on the rear decklid, both the upper and lower front grilles, the three side “vent” treatments ahead of the rear wheel wells, a black fuel-filler cover, the blacked-out trim on the lower rear fascia housing the dual exhaust outlets—all add to the serious look. Gloss-black painted 20-inch aluminum wheels (with inner red trim) wearing Pirelli PZero performance tires remove any doubt as to the car's performance cred.

Inside, the color theme is black with accents of brushed metal. Leather upholstery covers the seats—well bolstered buckets up front (heated) and two-occupant bucket-like bench in the rear. Black carpeting—protected with “Camaro SS”-embroidered carpet mats in front—covers the cabin floors. The large analog speedometer and tachometer and the four console-mounted engine-monitoring gauges retain a look that traces back to the model's earliest examples. A driver-information touchscreen display occupies the top-center-stack position with climate controls below. Both the console-mounted automatic transmission shifter and the steering wheel are covered in leather. (For a comprehensive list of all the car's equipment, please refer to the original window sticker which appears in the gallery.)

Under the hood, a large helping of performance cred: the 6.6-liter, 460-horsepower V8 is adorned with custom white valve covers wearing the crossed-flag Corvette logo, a tribute to the model which shared this same engine platform. An added cold-air induction system with high-flow air filter and carbon-fiber intake is another stunning addition. The engine bay is spotless. In the same way, the car's undercarriage—viewed from below—shows an absence of damage, dust, or dirt. It could not have looked much better when it rolled out of the factory.

While the more than 175 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this Camaro SS in detail, we expect and encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our showroom is not open to the public. And always feel free to get in touch by phone or email if you have any questions.

The Camaro brochure quoted earlier put this car's driving experience poetically: “In here, the landscape blurs. The road slices through the sky like a razor's edge to reveal a state of pure exhilaration. Now the rate of your pulse is proportional to the pedal underfoot. You move with ferocity and grace. This is your time. Your place. To fly.“

The next owner of this beautiful white Camaro SS has all that “ferocity and grace” to look forward to each time he or she takes the wheel.
