That high praise from the Automobile magazine included quite a number of rave assessments of the then-new A4 2,0 Quattro:

On its interior: “...the look does ratchet up the sportiness compared to previous generations of this car... standard leather-upholstered seats and plenty of aluminum trim... climate control handled using the same touch-sensitive toggle switches and 3D digital display unit that we've seen in the Audi Q7.”

On its power: “... the 252-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder... in the 2017 Audi A4 is a welcome consolation. It pulls hard and responds quickly in concert with its slick seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.”

On its technology: “... no other car in this class can touch the appeal and functionality of the technology within the A4's cabin.“

Offered here is a nicely optioned, 6-speed manual 2017 A4 Quattro sedan in timeless Monsoon gray over black leather. Originally delivered to its first owner in Massachusetts, the second owner acquired the car with an Audi-certified warranty and Audi Care plan. In all, the car's two owners drove it just under 28,000 miles, or roughly a conservative 9,300 miles per-year. The car experienced what records show was a minor right-front damage incident two years ago which appears to have been professionally corrected. No sign of any repair is evident. Indeed, the Audi CPO sale took place thereafter, as has routine maintenance including a comprehensive 30,000-mile dealer-performed service. In addition to its optional Monsoon gray paint, the car's $7,000+ factory option list includes the Premium and Technology packages featuring, among other items, 18-inch, 5-spoke Dynamic design wheels in contrasting gray finishes, bang & Olafson surround-sound system, heated 8-way power seats, Parking system plus, and the “S Line” exterior trim, MMI navigation system with pop-up dashboard screen, side assist, and Audi's “virtual cockpit” instrumentation. The condition of the car's exterior paint and trim is excellent in every respect across the entire body. Panel-fit is true to factory tolerances, trim is virtually perfect, as are the optional wheels and all-season tires (the tires were recently replaced). “Nearly new condition” is not an overstatement, and it continues inside the car where Audi's deserved industry reputation for stellar interior execution is on full display. The brushed and textured aluminum trim on the dash, doors, and console makes a Teutonic design statement, and is a refreshing change from more common wood veneer. Black leather seating surfaces are free of damage or obvious signs of wear, as are all operating-control surfaces including for the MMI system and the multi-function steering wheel. Under the hood, the surprisingly powerful and reliable turbocharged 2-liter engine has obviously been maintained in factory condition. No components have been modified or added, and the engine bay is properly clean.

Bottom line? We have to agree with Automobile magazine: “...the A4 is comfortable and pleasant to spend time in and surely a notch above the BMW 3 Series, Cadillac ATS, Infiniti Q50, and Lexus IS in design and refinement.”

The overall condition and manual 6-speed makes this a rare and desirable example.
