Two words come to mind with this car: “Time Capsule.” This beautiful, original 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible is a rare find and now offered for your consideration. This car comes with ALL ownership history and truly has 33,355 original miles. Here's the breakdown from the VIN:Year: 5 – 1965Plant: F – Dearborn, MIBody Series: 08 – ConvertibleEngine: T – 200cid Inline 6-CylinderUnit: 741131And here's the breakdown from the data plate:Body: 76A – Convertible, Stand InteriorColor: F – Arcadian Blue (Light Blue)Trim: 22 – Blue Crinkle VinylDate: 27S – May 27, 1965Dealer Special Order (DSO): 34 – IndianapolisAxle: 2 – 2.83:1, ConventionalTransmission: 6 - C4 Automatic This first year Mustang was originally purchased by Margaret Finley from Indianapolis, IN through Smart & Perry Inc. on July 13, 1965, which is stated in original owner's manual. It then moved to Ohio in the mid 1980's where it received a re-spray in the original Arcadian Blue color, which has been the only cosmetic upgrade done on the car. In 1987, the car came back to its roots in Michigan where it has been driven lightly in the summers and stored in climate-controlled garages since. In September of 2013 at 33,320 miles, the following mechanicals were updated by Steve's Antique Auto of Grand Rapids, MI: new fuel pump, new carb, new front and rear brakes, new valves, new spark plugs, and lube, oil, and filters. The car fires on command and remains an excellent cruiser. It truly is a time capsule with such low miles and all original components. This car has been preserved with delicacy over the years by Ford enthusiasts and is now ready for a new garage. It comes with the original owners manual, original spare tire and jack, original soft top boot, original keys, service records, and custom car cover. It is an excellent collector car and one of, if not the only, 1965 Arcadian Blue Convertibles on the market right now. A great opportunity at the price offered here.
