Here's a “creampuff” car that has spent a lot of time just hanging out in a garage, as the 38k original miles on the odometer shows. This Biscayne was originally sold by Gates Chevrolet of South Bend Indiana, and purchased by a gentleman from Mishawaka Indiana in November of '63. The car is highly original overall with only a few upgrades having been made - the biggest one being new carpeting.

The exterior of the car retains the stock look other than the fact that the car is slightly lowered. The Silver Blue paint (code 912) covering the body looks to be all original, and shows only a little fading, which is to be expected. Body panels are original metal, and the chrome shows very well all around. The instantly recognizable front grille and dual round headlight combination are in great condition, and at the rear of the car the pairs of tail lights are in great condition. Paint matched steel wheels with “dog dish” hubcaps keep with the simpler styling of the Biscayne.

The interior shows very well, and like the exterior is highly original. Finished in Fawn cloth and vinyl (code 860) the Biscayne interiors were a bit more simple than those of the Impala. The carpeting was replaced recently and DynoMat was put down under the carpeting to quiet the cabin down a bit more. Other additions to the interior are a few neatly installed gauges, AutoSound radio, and three point seat belts.

Under the hood is a 283ci V8 mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission. The powerplant is believed to be original. In the past few years all new bushings were installed, along with new power steering components, front drop spindles, tubular A-Arms, front drop spindles, and a new heater core.

This “creampuff” classic Chevy is all dialed in and ready for someone to enjoy. It's ready for cruises, cars and coffee, or trips to the store.
