“The 2016 Porsche Macan is the perfect SUV if you're looking for the performance of a sports car combined with the practicality and spaciousness of a luxury compact SUV.” - US News 2016 Cars Review

Car and Driver has trumpeted the Macan's sales success: “Porsche is having no trouble selling every Macan it can build.” The truth of this can be seen in Porsche's 2019 sales results for the full year. Panorama magazine reported 3,487 Macan deliveries, the single highest-selling Porsche model at more than two-and-a-half times the sales volume of the storied 911. Clearly, Porsche's compact SUV has been a major hit for the brand. The reasons for the Macan's commanding marketplace success (coming on the heels of 3,960 units sold in the prior year) are many. The model's appealing design, the legendary Porsche build quality, and true Porsche power and handling characteristics are its significant strengths.

Macan owners are a highly satisfied group: in a Cars dot com survey, owner satisfaction pegged the needle at 4.9 out of five stars with glowing superlatives in every single owner's commentary. No wonder the Macan received Kelly Blue Book's Best Resale Value for 2016. But while 3,000+ vehicles sold is a major deal for Porsche, the number pales in comparison, for example, to the roughly 900,000 Ford F150 pickups sold annually. The result? Finding a well cared-for Macan on the secondary market can be a bit of a challenge.

That challenge is met with the two-owner 2016 white-over-black Macan S offered here. The vehicle presents in stunning condition overall, clearly having benefitted from the kind of high-level of owner commitment that's so satisfying on any Porsche. Its 65,000 miles are slightly under the 15,000 mile-per-year U.S. average. The Carfax report documents regular dealer-rendered maintenance services and oil changes over the past four and a half years, under both Midwest prior owners. And as a peace-of-mind bonus, this Macan's comprehensive, transferable Certified Pre-Owned Porsche warranty remains in effect until 100,000 miles or September 2021. One final indication of owner love: The car's original window sticker listing every feature and option—as well as the original $63,000 price tag—remains with the vehicle along with all the factory-supplied manuals, leather document keeper, and both electronic keyfobs.

The exterior of the vehicle is virtually as-new and 100% stock. Paint is without significant flaws or any fading from sunlight or damage from inattentive polishing. Split-spoke alloy wheels are free of curb damage, and are mounted with Continental tires. Body panel fit throughout is perfect, including the hood with its noteworthy twin openings for the headlights. Chrome trim—including the quad exhaust outlets and rear-hatch badging—is shiny and correct. The Porsche hood crest emblem is perfect. Cabin glass, mirrors, and lenses are free of cracks or damage of any sort. The undercarriage is clean and undamaged showing only slight signs of surface rust on some components. The engine bay shows off the 3-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 engine, and is virtually as clean as the day the vehicle was delivered new.

Inside the black interior is classic Porsche. This Macan features the “base” interior with alcantara inserts on the seats. A number of reviewers favor this level interior versus higher-priced optional trim. All interior surfaces display the same level of owner care as the rest of the vehicle. The steering wheel, dashboard, center console, 7-speed PDK (automatic) shifter, and lap-timer (part of the sport chronograph option) show off the driver orientation common to Porsches. Every control works as it should, from power seats to moonroof. Even the optional all-weather rubber factory floor mats show no undue wear, and they, too, evidence owners who cherished this vehicle. The ample rear cargo area exhibits no significant wear.

Short of an in-person inspection (which we encourage by appointment at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom), the more than 175 high-definition photographs taken from every angle offer an accurate representation of this Macan S. Please view them—together with a short start-up and walk-around video—at the Garage Kept Motors website.

There was once a Porsche magazine advertisement from the 1980s that touted the opportunity to own “mature Porsches” (this was before the term “pre-owned” came into vogue). The ad writer noted such vehicles represented “the opportunity to enjoy the Porsche driving experience with no compromises whatever….”

They could easily have been talking about this Macan S. Please call or email if interested. Thank you for looking.
