There are plenty of other first generation Mustangs out there for sale, so why consider this car for your collection? This car is in great condition, it's a factory A Code, and it's still finished in the original color combination, but it was also celebrity owned. Which always makes for an interesting story, and boosts the collectibility a little. Zeppo Marx, one of the world famous Marx brothers purchased this Mustang in July of '67 from Palm Springs Motors in the sunny state of California. It is known that Zeppo owned a home on Halper Lake Drive in Palm Springs California, just as the owner's manual of this special Mustang shows. His home was built along a fairway at the Tamarisk Country Club, although he used to hang out with friends Jack Benny, Danny Kaye, Sid Caesar, and Milton Berle. His neighbor was Frank Sinatra, who actually ended up marrying Zeppos first wife Barbara after their divorce, which was a product of Frank and Barbara's extra-marital affair. But enough about celebrities, how about we examine the car.

The interior is finished in what Ford calls Ivy Gold (code 2G), which is an interesting color of green, but exactly what you would expect from Ford in the '60's. The interior features the familiar dashboard, bucket seats, and floor mounted gear shifter - all of which are in great shape. One change has been made in the otherwise original interior - a JVC stereo has been added in the dashboard.

The exterior was repainted approximately 27 years ago in the original color of Dark Moss Green (code Y), so while the paint is glossy, it does show some age. The body is solid, all trim and bright work shows well, and the car still wears the optional fog lights which are nestled in the front grille.

Under the hood is the optional A-Code 289ci V8 that came with a 4 Barrel carburetor from the factory. A C4 automatic transmission handles gear selection, while a 3.00:1 rear end helps get power to the rear wheels. The aforementioned drivetrain combination is the way the car left the San Jose California factory.

Let his pony car put a smile on your face the way Zeppo Marx and his brothers put smiles on the faces of millions of people over the years when you see this green gem in your garage.
