We're excited to offer for your consideration, this awesome Chevelle that is in all around great condition, and offers a built 406ci V8 with EFI under the hood. Originally a California car, this classic is still finished in the original exterior color, which makes it stand out from the more common red, blue, or black Chevelles.

Our client purchased this car from the estate of who he believed to have been the second owner. The car was shipped from the San Francisco California area to the east coast. The body is solid thanks to being from a dry warm climate and the low mileage - 34k miles showed on the odometer when the car was delivered to our client.

At some point before our client acquired the car, the car was said to have had a frame on restoration. The whole car was recently repainted in the original color of Ash Gold (code GG) which looks great. The paint is glossy and there are no signs of overspray. Body panels line up just right, trim is in great condition, and the chrome shows well and is free from spotting. 327 badging on the front fenders remains, for originality's sake, and maybe to fool others who don't know what's under the hood.

The interior has been changed from the original cloth/vinyl Medium Gold color (code 779) to black vinyl. A gold exterior and a gold interior is a bit too monotone for a car like this in our opinion, so although the black vinyl isn't original it looks much better. A carbon fiber look dash panel houses multiple silver face AutoMeter gauges that keep the driver informed of engine vitals. A Holley Sniper EFI control module mounted next to the floor shifter also shows up-to-the-second engine data. An Alpine CD/FM/AM/XM stereo, fire extinguisher, and B&M shifter are other interior highlights.

The 406ci V8 under the hood wears a number of performance parts, enabling a dyno run in which it produced 505 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 700R4 transmission and a J&W torque converter. Other notable mods are Airflow heads, roller rocker arms, Comp Cam, Holley Sniper EFI, Edelbrock Intake Manifold, Holley Sniper Fuel Tank, aluminum radiator, HD external transmission cooler, and MSD Ignition. A 12 bolt rear end with posi-traction houses Richmond gears, w/ 3.73 ratio, and is connected to Yukon axles.

Sir Isaac Newton's Third Law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. How does Newton's Third Law relate to this Chevelle? In the case of a muscle car, a powerful engine under the hood can produce uncontrollable power - especially if paired with antiquated suspension components. We all know that the “opposite reaction” caused by a lot of power can cause problems. To help avoid that type of problem, the suspension has benefitted from extensive modifications. The result is a classic muscle car that handles really well, and helps deliver power in a manner that the driver can handle. Hotchkiss suspension in the form of springs, tubular A-Arms, and sway bars front and rear are paired with Bilstein shocks. Rounding out the suspension components are front disc brakes and Ridler 18“ wheels.

This California classic Chevy is ready for a new home, and has lots to offer. The original exterior color, very clean interior, solid body, updated suspension, and a built 406ci V8 are all awesome features of this Chevelle.
