First American Dakar Rally Finisher: 1994 Hummer H1

(UPDATE: SOLD) This 1994 Hummer H1 is described as the first American vehicle with American drivers to finish the Dakar Rally, which in 1996 started in Granada. It took two weeks for the team to drive 8,000 miles, and the truck now shows just slightly over that figure on the odometer. Despite seeing little use since retirement as a race vehicle, its GM turbodiesel V8 is shown running well in a short video. Provided spec details are limited, but the truck wears upgraded shocks, safety equipment, a big fuel cell, bed-mounted spares, an extra capacity cooling system, and a few other changes shown in the ad’s full gallery. Find it here on carsforsale, com in Grand Rapids, Michigan for $104,900. Special thanks to BaT reader Gooffer for this submission.
