This is one cool bird. This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 6.6L Bandit-style Black 2-Door Coupe is in excellent condition and completely rust-free. We acquired it from Pennsylvania from a mechanic who owned it since 1990. There is 124k miles on the car but just 1500 miles on a rebuilt engine and transmission.

According to the window sticker and Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documents, the car was purchased new through Williams Pontiac Company of Boyertown, PA. From the factory, it was finished in upper and lower Starlight Black (19L, 19U) paint over a Camel Tan (62R1) oxen vinyl interior. The car came from the factory with AC, cruise control, soft ray glass, hood decal, power windows, Delco AM/FM stereo, rear deck spoiler, Formula tilt steering wheel, and the Trans Am Special Performance Package. This gave it the L80 6.6L 4BBL V8 engine with the Special Handling Package. It also came standard with a high energy ignition system, dual master brake cylinder, dual horns, side splitter tailpipe extensions, Trans AM identification, and an automatic transmission.

This car is a head-turner. It looks just as good as it performs. Runs and drives smooth, and has plenty of power when you want it.
